Thanks Graylox - really good collection of puzzle games. All 33 are illustrated on the link page given. If you scroll down the download page, there's a download link for all of the games for Windows as one download, and you can download the games individually if you wish! :)

I got the whole suite again (I took the zip) and unzipped it onto a flash drive. I let Avira check it out and it's clean now. I wonder what it was that ALL of them squawked.

In just over 2 years, I have filed 35 false positive reports to Avira (not counting cases like this that I just didn't file). 33 of the 35 have come back as False Positive, one as Risk (very old Microsoft file used by HP) and the latest as pending (today).

I'm to the point that I really don't trust Avira's judgment anymore!

Yes, I too was very disappointed in the game, but didn't have that high of expectations to begin with. FPS' and RPG's are my favorite genres so I'll always be tricked into buying them regardless of the reviews.

I decided to install Legendary this morning and after a few hours of game play agree with you wholeheartedly. I must have watched the wrong You Tube videos and read the wrong reviews as I'd only seen glowing reports. It's more linear than any game I've played in years. There's hardly any room to manouver, and... well lets say I'm very very disappointed. It could have been a brilliant game; If it was an open environment, in a sand box setting I think the game would have been much better. Still, I got it at a discount, so can't complain. I was hoping to get one of my pre-orders, but all of them have been knocked back to May and beyond now. Velvet Assassin and Frontlines are ones I've been wanting to get to grips with for ages - Frontlines was originally supposed to have been released back in November. I think they were holding off until the latest COD furore had died down. I seem to remember COD 4 stole Airbornes thunder in 2007.

I'll persevere with the game for a few more hours to see if there is any improvement in game play, but I suspect there isn't going to be any. :(

I played the beginning of Airborne, but stopped after getting Crysis. I remember it being really good and was surprised when the price dropped dramatically only a few months after it's release. Frontlines is half the price I normally pay for games of this type. I also loved the previous release before Airbore. (Pacific Assault). In fact I quite fancy playing it again, and then maybe play Airborne. As for Call of Duty. I have all of them but have never finished any of them. I never played the expansion for the first game; I only played a quarter of COD2 and less than half of COD4 and only one level of the latest COD, whereas (apart from airborne) I've completed all of the Medal of Honor series. I do think the COD games have slightly better graphics, but I preferred the game play of the MOH series.

I'm trying to get back into playing RPG and strategy games and even some of the simulation games I have (notably Silent Hunter 4 and Iron Warriors)), but being drugged up with morphine I find playing a FPS game much easier as there's not much thinking needed, lol. I'm even revisiting Men of Valor more and more after finding a small oline community still active as I loved the MP maps they created.

To Dragonlair,

Sorry to here you had problems with some of the games posted. I don't usually post flash games, but had left it a little late to write up other games due to it still being the Easter vacatin here in the UK. I've been a lot busier than normal, so the games project had to take a back seat.

I downloaded letitflow and trimanic. I removed BOTH!

I had trouble downloading letitflow. Both IE and firefox first refused to download it. I finally got IE to do it. As soon as I tried to run it, Flashplayer gave a warning that it was connecting to the internet for user-counting of some sort. I removed the game!

Trimanic has no way to stop it! I had to use task manager to end it.

They're both good ideas but not for my machine!

Oh definitely dust off airborne and play it. It is my favorite so far. It is linear as well though, but it does give you a little off the beaten trail due to the fact that you control where you land your chute. I may dust that off this weekend and play some more. I need to sell some games lol. It got to the point where I threw away all the boxes and have them in a big cd binder with their codes. I have all the manuals in a three ring binder lol. I'm starting to get another stack of cases though so i need to do a little spring cleaning i guess.

I loved the MOH series. I'm waiting for Frontlines to be released. It's been knocked back several times. I've still to play Airborne which I bought when it came out summer 2007. It got shelved, lol.

Sorry, I had to rewrite the PM so it took ages. I posted it without a title and it disappeared.

hmm im not seeing any new pm's rabbit. Honestly i prefer the moh series of cod. I've always thought game devs should go after vietnam or desert storm more than they do. I will probably buy and try two worlds 2 even though i didn't like the first, coz im a games junkie lol.

Thanks Wizzard, for some reason I thogh you'd already posted the Duke Nukem games, but on checking found thre wasn't a mention. Great retro games. There's a new Duke Nukem out sometime this year.

As for legendary. That's a shame about it being linear. I've tied to shy away from linear shooters over the last few years. The last two COD (well the whole series really) games although visually amazing have been spoiled by linearity. I'd have liked them to be alittle bit more like Crysis, but you can't have evertything. Despite the linearity, I still think I'll enjoy the game, simply because it's a little different to the usual FPS games.

I've not had time to play it yet though. I'll probably wait until the kids are back at school on Monday. In the meantime I'm revisiting some older games such as Men of Valor. I was really surprised to find there are still a few community members playing it online. I used to love the online maps as they were so realistic (for the time). I still think the maps they created are some of the best Vietnam style maps around. (I'll have to check out Shellshock 2 - I bought it a few months ago, but haven't checked to see if there's an online game. I still find the vietnam conflict/war one of the more emotive and interesting ones ported over to video games. I still play Conflict Vietnam and Battlefield Vietnam occasionally, though others such as Vietcong I & II and the first Shellshock, I've not played for quite some time.

By the way, I've just reinstalled Two Worlds after our comments the other day. I though I'd revisit it before getting back into Oblivion. My son want's to play it online with me, but it seems we need two unlock codes for it. (btw - check your PM's). Two Worlds 2 is out later this year. apparently there's been a lot of improvements such as better horse riding visuals and the graphic has been given a complete overall.

Thanks Chip. (I've had a heavy day visiting museums and going to a pokemon exhibition, which being in a games shop cost me more than I'd liked. Bought a game called legendary - a FPS with you fighting the beasts of legend. London is supposed to burn to the ground and New Yorks scrapers fall. The graphics look awesome, not so sure about the monsters though, lol

Here's some video footage of the game. I only bought it because I have over 60 traditional FPS games and thought this one was a little different from the norm, so couldn't resist it.

The following three games are downloadable flash games so you will need a flash program installing. You’ve probably already got one installed, so try playing the game first. If you haven’t you can download Adobes flash player from the following link:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

There's all small downloads around 1Mb in size.

Let it Flow:

This game was made for free to support UK’s red nose day. Rotate the pipes so that they connect from the pump to the crops and animals before the time runs out. Watch out for spillages, and don't forget to pump the water to get it moving. One of the most popular flash games ever. It's had millions of plays worldwide.

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/Letitflow

Dance Match:

This game was made for the Maccabees. It’s a brain training dancing game. You have to remember the colors and get the little folk dancing. It features hand drawn characters from the album cover. Get your groove on.

http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/dancematch

Trimanic:

Trimanic plays like Lumines plus Bejewelled plus triangles plus huge spinning disc. Players spin triangles around to make big triangles of the same color. Try making many triangles of the same color in a row to create huge combos.

The developer says that the game is still very early in development and needs to be rewritten. Still, I though it worth posting here.

Would you mind downloading something other than the game, just to check if there's a problem with your computer? I'll send you a PM with two download links. They're for two very small files and you can just delete them after the test. If the first file is blocked the same way as the game was then we can basically rule the game out as the source of your problem. The second download can help to rule a few other things out.

Regards,

I've left a message on your Photobucket site relating to the image you posted. :)

I won't be pulling the file as no one else has reported this problem; so leads me to conclude it must be a false positive, though I would advise caution until more community members have commented about it. Maybe play he game in a sandbox.

Kyodai is my most favourite mahjongg game. I bought it long ago, and to this day Kyodai is one of the first games to be reinstalled if I get a new computer or need to format.
So far, I have never seen any better mahjong game.

Okay... I'm confused.

I used BD to scan the entire C:\Documents and settings , where the trojan supposedly was, tried a re-download to D:\ , and one the 'trojan's came up under C:\documents and settings, despite having scanned clean.

EDIT: Running full system scans with Spybot AND BD, will be offline.

Whiterabbit,
After reading Chronopie's post I decided to download Planet Defense from all three as well and my scans came back clean too. I have a habit of scanning everything I download and *touch wood* I've never had virus, trojan or any other problems from the games you've posted. While I was making the synopsis I also checked all the links in all of the posts and I never found any dubious sites. I know how much time and effort goes into finding and testing these games and I think you're doing a great job here! Thank You!

Chronopie,
Downloaded .exe files can easily be corrupted/contaminated during the download process, but it's just too much of a coincidence that the downloads from three different sites all come in with trojans. Could it be that the trojan is hiding on your system and attacks these new files as they come in? When did you last run a complete system scan? I hope I'm wrong.

Midori,
Duh me, I found that I already have Kyodai too.
If you decide to go for Bombzuka... it's colorful... and bright... so you may need those shades that you mentioned in the 'flower power' thread ;-)
Aha, you found the synopsis... don't you just love those game snoops? There are more than 450 games in their weekdays' project already, so lots of choice for everyone... unless you're looking for sokoban games... hint to the games' team ;-P

Regards,
Lan

Hi Chronopie,

That's very odd because I downloaded from the three mirrors thyat are still working, all of which are given a green flag by WOT (Web of Trust). The third link as you said didn't work, though it did last September when I first downloaded and tested this game. (I always test the games I post - apart from once last yers when I was in a rush, but I had found that game on a reputable site)

I re-tested these files this morning and all three were still available. I've changed my AV program since last September. Kaspersky Internet Security found no virii in any of the files I downloaded.

I originally downloaded this file last September when I first started the project and at that time used two different AV programs (F-Secure and Norton) and neither found any problems with the files from any of the sites which include the reputable CNet.

Maybe it was a false positive. If anyone else has had the same problem please report it here. I will delete the links if it is proven that the file does contain Malware, but having had the program installed with no problems I suspect it's absolutely fine.

Sorry if you're disappointed Chronopie

Regards
