WOT does work on FF, Whitrabbit, to install it quick, click Tools at the top of the screen, push add-ons, and push get add-ons, and search WOT and click install. Next thing you know, it's there! They'll ask you to restart, but it saves the webpage you're on.

I've been using Firefox for a couple of years now, because I got so tired of all the security, virus, and hacker alerts. Of course I guess since it seems like other browsers are taking over from IE, there'll probably be a lot more hackers and virus builders concentrating on Firefox, which I suspect may be one of the biggest reasons why Firefox was always so much safer(everyone always attacked IE, which has been THE browser for so long) Firefox seems to be a lot safer. Although getting newer versions of software that are finally compatible with Firefox is nice too. And always remember, IE is never actually turned off. I haven't even touched IE since the last time I reconfigured my computer, and it keeps running(Windows ties in other programs with it, making it almost impossible to really get rid of it).

The refresh button should be near the left side. There's usually a back and forward button, then refresh and stop. At least I think, as I've had mine configured this way for quite a while. If you right click in an empty space on your toolbar, like right next to where you type in your web addresses in, you should see a little menu pop up that has "Customize..." at the bottom of it. Actually, there's decent help if you go to the Firefox help pages, just by clicking on the help menu and then help contents(or I think F1 is the shortcut). Then, under "Customizing Firefox," the first thing talked about is toolbars. Hope this helps.

Anyway, Whiterabbit is right, you can find these games by searching the web for them, but you have to search through thousands of web pages, finding 95% of the same games on several of the web pages, while there are so so so many games that you have to go through and pick out the really awful ones and look for the good to exellent games that these guys have been finding. I've tried it, really. Just finding a few games unless you happen to accidentally stumble upon one or two can take quite a while unless you know exactly what you're looking for. So thank all of you guys for taking the time out to search for, test, and review all these games. Even if its possible to find most of these games, playing the games, pulling the info together and then reviewing each one takes time, which many people don't have to search for these great games. Thanks a whole lot. :)

Hi Webmaster; all games are worth the effort and there should never be any comparisons made, because all these games are freely available on the net. It's nothing special finding them, especially if your an old hack like me whose been surfing for far too many years than he cares to remember. Your contributions are just as important and as good as the ones that the rest of the team have posted. Nice one Webmaster. Keep up the brilliant work.

Really, anyone could find virtually all of the games that I've posted. There are a few I've come across by accident, but generally most are easily found on one of the bigger download sites like Softpedia, Gamershell, fileplanet, filefront or the Caiman Islands site to name just a few of the more well known ones.

By the way, since my main computer went offline just before Christmas I've not reinstalled WOT on this computer yet. I took the advice from IE to change to Firefox while they sorted the major exploit that IE has and just haven't got around to installing WOT yet (does it work with firefox). Soooo I can't vouch for some of the links I've posted over the last week. I apologize if anything unto wards has happened to anyone as a result; but just to put your minds at rest, I've not experienced any problems from the games I've installed, which includes every game I've mentioned in the free games project.

Regards WhiteRabbit

p.s.

I think I'll be sticking with Firefox now as there are some things about the basic installation that I really like compared to IE, though I haven't worked out how to refresh a page a swhere the refresh button in IE is theres now a star.

I wonder how many IE users will stay with firefox? I bet IE have lost a big percentage of their followers becaause of that exploit; though I commend them for advising the community to swap.

That's funny, I was scared for half a year, and just four months ago did I decide to use it.
Before I used DOS, but not much ran on that, on XP. But trust me, it's simple once you get to know it, but looking at it at first, you think it's computer language.

Hi WebMaster, I have downloaded them both, but due to being 'scared' (who said that) of DOSBox I haven't installed them yet. Have added DOSBox knowledge to my new year's resolutions. Both games sound very interesting, I love pacman games, and strategy/rpg games too, so I have high hopes of both of them.

Just have to open up a can of tuff girl and get on to DOSBox! Now, if they'd been XP games, I would have already spent hours playing them!!!

Thank you for both of them. You are very much appreciated, all of you Games Providers are! Never think otherwise.

Happy New Year (in 6 hours here in NZ)

Oh heavens, we can't have a disappointed Web Hamster, now can we. Especially it being his first time and all... x-D Er, sorry, sir. But I'm definitely downloading the one with the bow on her... (finish this sentence), as the one that used to work on my computer doesn't anymore. So happy to have it back! The Oregon Trail sounds exhausting, but seeing that I can take a break when needed, I'll try it! Thanks!

Today's game needs DOS box, and to find out how to use DOS box, visit here:

The Oregon Trail

The first Oregon Trail game was made way back in 1982. The idea is simple; you’re leading a wagon of settlers over the wild territory heading to the west. You start, at Independence, Missouri and you have to reach to Oregon.

The version you will try and hopefully like is the Deluxe version of the game. This means that the graphics are nice colorful VGA in high (640X480) resolution, the game is fully mouse controlled, and there are some Soundblaster sounds setting the mood (but not really much of them – neither are there many sound effects).

The game is quite a guide book you can use and learn from. It’s a sort of encyclopedia containing information about the places you get to see on the game.

But what about the game-play?

You need to supply yourself at Independence and then take off. You can buy supplies at all the army forts on your way (if you reach them), and the prices will rise depending on the distance covered away from “the civilization”. You can also trade things with the people on the way, you can just buy something from them or try to trade, but there’s never a guarantee that they’ll have what you need.

On the way some hardships can happen (snake bites, blizzards, cholera, oxen deaths…), so make sure you get enough rest and keep an eye on the food supply. You will have to buy, trade or hunt for food (some areas are better for hunting than others). I have to warn you though not to hunt too much, because you can’t carry more than 200lbs of food per hunt, the rest is left to rot (so if you get a buffalo you can pack up and go on – because it always weighs way over 200lbs).

There are places where you can decide to take a shortcut or take the long way (usually to get supplies) and sometimes you can choose between a safer or more hazardous trail. The choice is yours, but in order to know what to expect you should talk to other people. They can share experiences, knowledge… It’s always good to use native guides if you have the opportunity. They know the territory and will be able to help you. Remember, you should play it safe, rather than trying to break some speed records getting there.

At the end there’s a scoreboard and you get some scores in addition to how well you did your trip (how many people reached there with good health and so on).

The game is rather simple and somewhat easy, but it is a fun game that even children could enjoy and it has a sort of educational value added to it, even if that’s not the prime goal.

A nice little “time killer” by all means, but not really addictive enough to become a classic (and there’s not really enough challenge on the game).

So try it and I hope you’ll like it. If nothing else, you’ll get a chance to be a pioneer for a while, even if you find out that real pioneering wasn’t really that glorious, but mostly dull routine and hard work.

Ms. Pac PC
It's just like Pac-Man, but it's MS Pac-Man! What's the difference? Well, there's a bow on her ..... Okay, I'd better stop that, or else a bunch of MS Pac-Man fanatics will come over to my house and beat me up. This game is a lot the same as the classic Pac-Man game, but with some variations, like a couple of different maze layouts and smarter ghosts. It's an almost perfect conversion, so if you liked the arcade, get this!
