So the swf file isn&#39;t the game itself. Clever. Once downloaded to the player it must be stored on the computer somewhere as some sort of temp file, but goodness knows where this stored location is. (I know this as once loaded it will continue to play if I switch my internet off, but it won&#39;t load in the first place if the connection is off before attempting to load) It isn&#39;t in any temp location I&#39;ve found yet, certainly not in the normal user temp folder. It has a Halloween theme of course with all of the trimmings, but as well as being partly a fun challenge, it also has a brighter and well funny side to it! There are 20 levels to complete, with 4 bonus levels unlockable at bored.com.</p> <p><center><img src="http://cdn1.image.bored.com/games/thumbnails/HalloweenShooter_135x100.gif"></center></p> <p>You see, as Count Dracula you can launch multiple (!) clones of yourself with a simple aiming system, to complete various tasks that no Count Dracula worth his salt (ouch!) could fail or fail to attempt! Now I say aha, as it’s dawned on me (shut out that sunlight someone!) that you have switch between the different monsters to fit the task in hand, so Dracula himself shuts coffin lids on himself, witches go into the cauldron and the mummy fits into his multi-colored case or casket. Try the wrong monsters and they’ll just pile up ridiculously as you shoot them at the targets.</p> <p><center><img src="http://img.izismile.com/img/img4/20111025/jeux/halloween_shooter_02.jpg"></center></p> <p>To complicate matters slightly you then have to collect various monster coins to unlock the monster types. Then you get more monster types like Frankenstein, and more complicated tasks to do! Plus moving platforms and swinging beams, but it never gets too difficult! The tasks are semi-physics based and there are some cute animations. There are packs of candy a plenty and it’s fun trying to get all of these, as well as completing the challenges. The sound/music is bright but deliberately annoying after a short (or very short!) while. </p> <p><center><img src="http://www.cloft.co.uk/images/hs%201.jpg"></center></p> <p>It’s mouse controlled, aim with the mouse and shoot using the left mouse button. Placing the cursor further out lengthens the shot by increasing its power. It does get mighty challenging later on!</p> <p>It plays in most media or Shockwave players with the downloaded file via an internet connection, but not in a browser from the download. You have to return to the coffin before daybreak (ie time running out) on each level. </p> <p>After posting quite a few games recently with lengthy and deep gameplay, I thought I’d post some casual games for a bit of ‘light’ relief. That said, this particular game has had some fairly rave reviews recently! You play the role of Vampy, a sweet-natured vampire whose castle is under siege. And - ‘Oh Dear!’ those ‘poor’ people are keeping you from sleeping!</p> <p><center><img src="http://toonbarn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Fly-fight-and-flex-your-Vam-power-in-the-Transylmania-II-game-185x110.jpg"></center></p> <p>The graphics are cute and funny, and gameplay is decidedly good, with the villagers often suddenly changing direction, and Vampy’s flight being somewhat erratic, which all add to the fun! There are also hidden skeletons that can ‘bounce’ Vampy onto hazards. Your health is restored on each new level after a good night’s rest! The music is apt and amusing too. To turn the villagers into the undead, either sneak up behind one or land on his head. You have to vanquish all of the intruding villagers by changing them to walking dead, mindless ‘undead’ servants, on each level before the coffin opens for you to find safety before daybreak.</p> <p><center><img src="http://i.acdn.us/image/A1246/1246944/300_1246944.jpg"></center></p> <p>Villagers carry torches, which along with chandeliers and candles need to be avoided, which is why you attack them from behind! Don&#39;t worry. The death sequence isn&#39;t gory at all. The &#39;recently deceased&#39; turn into green, zombie-like characters, then fall into a little pile of bones and disappear. Believe it or not, it&#39;s adorable!</p> <p>His home has many rooms and levels, including the windmill and cemetery. Sunlight is sometimes let in through windows that open and close in a timed pattern - Beware of windows that might fling open at any instant! Water, whether in the river or rhythmically pouring through ducts, is another hazard that must be navigated around. In some areas, there are wooden spikes that must also be avoided. Villagers can also be found in boats on the river. If even just one villager is left alive, you can’t complete the level, and rest until the next sunset!</p> <p><center><img src="http://images.jayisgames.com/transylmania.jpg"></center></p> <p>Transylmania 1 came out in 2005, and is quite widely available to play online, search for “Transylmania online game -2” in Google for a list of sites to play Transylmania 1 online.
