Same thing has just happened to me, I'm really pi**ed off about it, and why no game give aways this week?

I stopped using the Email notification simply because it's always late for me and it's just as easy to go straight to the site. I have both sites in my favorites, so it's a simple matter to get here or to the game giveaway at weekends.

I received the email notice for the MultiStage Recovery software and within two minutes of it hitting my inbox, I went to the site. But was told the offer was over. I received the email at local time of Thursday, May 7, 2009 3:04 PM, that was 25 minutes ago (signing up for the forum took around 20 minutes to wait for the password to arrive).

I only just signed up for the email notices yesterday, wondering if this will occur everyday?

After uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling, everything worked fine. I'm sorry, but within 5 minutes of doing this, our area lost power and I wasn't able to get back on to give this information in case it had happened to someone else. Thanks to those who tried to help me.

Problem was I dl'd the demo, DUH! Finally found the right file and all went ok.

I do not have a ACTIVATE.EXE in the directory! Now where in the readme.txt file does it say anything about how to activate. Without activate.exe, just how am I supposed to get it registered? Anybody?

I am using Windows XP and I ran it from the administrator account.

I have been unable to get the activation to work on the past three days. The latest to fail was the Multistage Recovery. Is there a fault or are the contributors of these programs deliberately putting duff software on line. Having Emailed some of them you can get the corrected activations but others just ignor you. Can Giveaway not do something to test them beforebthey publish. It seems unfair to gripe but if the programs are on offer then they should work.

If you are running Vista - did you run the Activate.exe as administrator?

I read the readme file before installing as someone suggested, but it read like all the other readme files from GOTD. I activated it before installing, but it is still not registered. How do I accomplish this?
