Of course life being what it is and commitments springing up - sometimes when plugins need to be updated - there isn't any time free.</p> <p>The testing tools I mentioned above basically tells firefox to ignore the maximum version number encoded in the plugin - so while it might say it will work with Firefox up to version 2.x - with the testing tools you can make it install and load in version 3.</p> <p>Then you should go through and check that it works as you expect - It probably will - but some plugins might make the browser crash or freeze.
