Thanks for bringing this up again, Graylox. I couldn't get the download from the first link (yesterday, 17 Nov 2012), so got it from Sourceforge, and it automatically created the shortcut. An impressive number of games, and types of games, even Mahjong. Should keep me out of trouble (or maybe in trouble) for a while.

Yea, this is one of the first games I reinstalled on my Win7.

Thanks! I just lost one of my favorite Mahjongg games with my upgrade to 7. It got iffy on the mouse and some of the displays don't go away as they should. The CD is ONLY about 10 years old! Looking forward to this one!

Edit -- I got it downloaded and installed. I'm impressed! There are a lot of games in this little freebie. The only things it's missing is a shortcut icon. I don't have my icon creator software installed yet!

2 years ago, I asked for info about Python and didn't post a review about the games collection. Therefore I started a new thread now.
BTW, there are not only card games included, Mahjongg too.

I will add it as soon a si catch up. am several pages behind. Do you mind if I also change the title of the post to the games project title? Will await your answer.

It was two years ago that you posted the original, which you can find HERE. It is referenced in G@rgoyles Free games synopsis. It's always good to get card games added to the project. We don't often include them. I tended to avoid them for some reason (though I have posted some), but they are as much a part of the gaming industry as any other genre.

No! No demos - all the games are full, free, clean, open-source and without ad-ware.

You may play all games in demo-mode, when you don't know the rules, or will see how they work.
The "demo" pics are here to show that this collection is great even for beginners or to learn new games. There are even written rules for every game.

To the installation - well, it's so long ago, I hardly remember...
What ever, you have to install python before you start the games. The same for the PIL.
I don't know how the games work without the Python-imaging. I think at least some of the graphics (card-decks, majongg-tiles) will not be available.

I installed my first version several years ago, without having ever heard about Python - and it worked easily - so I don't think you will have any problems.
I didn't try the newer releases of Python, as far as I remember, are the games only compatible with the 2.6. version.

Give it a try, when you are a fan of solitaire games you will not be disappointed.

I see from the pics that some of the games are demos. Is this "Collection" all demos? If demos, what does it hamper?

I see nobody is responding to your question, probably because this happens so often. If you're still trying to resolve it, let us know. It usually occurs on Vista because of Vista's security settings. I don't have Vista, but I know you have to run everything with administrator rights for the activation to work. That's true for XP also, but the methods are probably different.

Try clicking some of the Tags on the right of this page. Glancing over some of the previous comments might help you with your problem. Or you could try searching the forums with your own keywords.

If that doesn't work, post some more information about your computer setup, and the experiences you've had. Somebody might be able to help you. Remember you have to get it activated before the giveaway time runs out.

I downloaded Mahjongg Artifacts and clicked activate it said it was Activated but when i went to play it said 56 minutes left so what do i do next?
