House uproar as Key clarifies Dotcom record

Shearer says Key may have been caught on camera making a joke about Dotcom - which show he did know about GCSB and Operation Debut. But Key says he doesn't remember it - and Shearer should produce the tape.

Smith refused to allow Peters to return to ask his question, despite an appeal by Labour MP Chris Hipkins.
"Members should think about that before they take on the Speaker," Dr Smith said.

Mallard - who left voluntarily - returned to the House.

With win7 you had to eliminate [rename/delete] ei.cfg if you wanted a menu where you could choose the win7 version to install [why store separate setup discs for each version?]. The article talks about creating rather than getting rid of the file -- interesting.

Microsoft has released Windows 8 to MSDN/TechNet subscribers and few other channels starting from August 15th. Few weeks ago; I got lucky to lay hands on it and I noticed that Windows 8 doesn’t allow keyless installation, like Windows 7, by default.

But after doing some R&D I have found a way to bypass the product key wizard while performing the installation. And in this article, you’ll learn how to suppress product key prompt while installing Windows 8.

Note: The following method is effective, legal, and does not requires a lot of technical expertise.

I am continually receiving requests from Sticky Password to update the PRO version obtained on GoTD to enable the various new Browser versions of Chrome and Firefox etc ... .

If I agree to the update request will the GoTD version revert to a demo rather than licensed?

Somehow I missed this beta.So I was about to ask BuBBy about the new features that could be expected in Sticky Password 6, when I noticed the new version was already released on May 22th.

Same thing happened to me glasseye. Overwrote an earlier version and now find it's reverted to a demo. Thankfully I have another paid for password application (though not as good) so will just have to wait till it's given away again. If it appears on BitsDuJour it'll probably be worth purchasing.

As Graylox has said many times (well, words to the effect), if you missed the giveaway or have had to format you drive, replace the hard drive or reinstall Windows for whatever reason; if you find you can't live without the program, the best way forward is probably to purchase it. You can always contact the developer and negotiate a deal. some developers are quite amenable to that. I've done it several times and ended up with some fantastic deals and in some cases they have even given me a free registration code.

It really hurts when you delete your favorite app. (stickeyPassword V.4), download & install a newer V.5, register as instructed and never get a promised ACTIVATION KEY in your WEB mailbox; during the last 2-3 HR. time limit for activation. Now I only have a Limited TRIAL V.5 instead of a FULL V.4 that worked very well. On a limited budgit I can only cry and use TRIAL version. Not always wise to UPGRADE to a newer version if happy with older! NOT ALL CO. do what they offer, do they? Authoring REP. Co. SITE has not even answered my why-not EMAIL. "my glasseye"

I downloaded and activated the giveaway of the day, Speed mp3 download 2.2.7.8. and I loved it, and I had to restore my computer, and now I've lost it. Is there a way I could get it back.

That would defeat my purpose of re-installing windows. A restore could still dirt the windows registry. The only files I backup are my Documents.

the zip file you downloaded for the HDD Observer giveaway contained "Setup.exe", which cannot be used again, and a "readme.txt"...

the registration key was contained in the "readme.txt"...please check there...

unfortunately, posting registration information after the giveaway violates GOTD Terms and Conditions...

if you've already deleted the file, writing the developer and asking for some help with the issue may work...

When we install HDD Observer, the installation is valid only for the current user, but not for the others users of the same computer. It’s necessary to enter the key for each user. But I don’t have the key yet.
Can anybody tell me that key, please?

Wow, sorry to hear that you had the same problem I thought I was going crazy. So do you think they will resubmitt this game with a good activation key???

I am having the same problem as matagner43 - I registered it with the name and key, got the message that everything was ok, but it was still the unregistered version.

Entered the key again, and was told that it was expired.

I did try to clean out all Puzzle Hero entries from my registry and reinstall, but it did not help.

I have never had a problem with any of these games before and although I appreciate your detailed steps on how to fix my problem I am not going to even try for fear of screwing up my computer. Oh well, maybe some other time for a game I actually liked to play.

You may need to clean out the temporary folders and also get rid of any registration information in the registry. To clean out the temp folders you can just right click on the internet explorer icon and select internet properties. The window tat is brought up enables you not only to clear your internet cache and history, but the temporary folders. If you don't want to lose your cookies ten follow the path below to delete all the files in the temp folder:

C:\Temp

The registry cleaning is a little more complex, but not hard. Though it’s always advisable to make a back up before you make any changes, just in case you do something wrong – personally I go into the registry editor virtually every day and delete or copy something, and even edit a value sometimes, and ‘touch wood’ have never had a problem yet {I rarely bother to do a back up now} I don’t know what method you use to back up your registry, my personal choice since February has been Eaz-Fix, though I will occasionally export each of the five hives to a registry file as well. The way you do it is a matter of preference. You can always use windows own restore point, but I personally think it’s a waste of space because if you have trouble accessing windows after a crash you can’t get to the restore command, whereas with Eaz-Fix, you get the opportunity at boot up. (Eaz-Fix was given away some months ago) Anyway, the following will tell you how to check for any registry entries for today’s game:

Go to the Start menu click on run and type in regedit, and then click on okay. This brings up the registry editor.

• Click on Edit (top toolbar)
• Scroll down to find and click
• Type in a key word for the game (I’d try both the name of the game and the games developer)
• Ensure that the cursor on the registry editor is highlighting ‘My Computer’
• Click on ‘Find Next’
• Delete the keys as and when they are found
• To progress to the next key click on F3
• Close the editor

That’s it. You should be able to reinstall the game as though it was for the first time. Make sure you copy the reg code and name so that when the window pops up where you are given the oppertunity to either play, pay or input a code you click on the correct button.

I have played and love this game only now when I try to open up the file it is asking me for the acitvation code again and when I put it in it says it has expired. Any suggestions?? And yes I have uninstalled and re-installed the game.

Make sure if you get to the opening screen(buy, enter code, etc) that you enter the name and the reg code first!

Also that you are getting the Giveaway whats next screen first and save the read me file!

Hi Suki....no the game doesn't even start...but the task manager says it is running...ok thank you...I will delete do a clean up and try agian

I'm running windows xp sp2 media center on a Laptop and Desktop, having no problems!

My 2 Desktops would BSOD sometimes. Try a cleanup and try again! I mean get rid of the game first and try again! It might be your computer, does the game run at all? Windows loves fatal errors!

The game is worth the effort!

I'm getting a fatal error when i run mine, loads in as a new process, but then crashes, with no message found a fatal errors txt file in the directory with this message:

Fatal Error: 'Can't find DepthStencil format!' in source file '.\Graphics.cpp' at line 338 (eCode: 0 eAddr:00000000) in v1.3.1

As stated above by Controlled Chaos the password should be entered as he has typed it and the regestration code should be typed in capitals I have done this and it is now a full version.
