would like help and advice

Hi everyone...
I wanted to download this (and did*GridinSoft Notepad 3.3) to help me with forms and editing artists permissions and bio's. But, altho I use notepad to do most of my forms and writing functions. I do not know how to use this program. Is someone available to help out the desperately dense? But brave enough to ask!

I am a 3D graphics artist, so I am not so much unable to work the tech end of a puter, just unsure where and how to start. I could use a good mentor. Any offers? I mainly need to not only learn how to maintain my upcomming web site (*add pics and text, which I sort of know, but am not comfortable with) and to learn more desktop publishing.

ThanX for any support and advice.
Ariana

It appears there is something wrong with the PAD submission for freeware applications, while trying to submit mine it didn't work. It says "Service Unavailable". The PAD file works as I have added it to over 10 software websites.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Kind Regards

The Readme doesn't explain how to set up a shortcut (link) on the desktop or how to put it in your Documents & Settings\All Users\Start Menu so she can find it in her Start Menu. Most times the readme files say exactly the same thing each time, unless they have registration info. This one should have told her how to set up a menu item for this program. Lorna, I will write out instructions and let you know but I have to go now...so check back here later.

I can get them DL and installed most of the time, ON time. My problem comes from having to share 1 computer with the other 5 people in my house! Oh, and then there is a small problem of slower that dial-up access! :) I usually just stick with the games around 15 MB or smaller. Too much bigger and they take 3 or more hours to DL. But, when you are addicted, you just keep trying, right?

just to add to lockett's excellent definition.

giveaway of the day gives away commercial programs. they are not freeware, but are being offered for a limited time for free. sometimes programmers give their wares for free on their own sites, too.

Freeware means that the developer charges no money for full use of the product. This site gives away commercial software, which costs money. For example, Cave Story is freeware, while Halo is commercial.

We know about this bug. Unfortunately, we cannot fix it in a few hours, but we fix it in the next update of DayMate.
