I get emails that tell me about what game is being offered except for the last couple of days. I just delete them because I've already checked them out on the site along with the software.

Like Face said, check the site everyday for yourself. If your too busy to come and check then your to busy to play games. BTW You state that if you don't check them you give them a thumbs down? Does that mean you didn't like the game or it didn't work? Is your opinion that important? LOL Maybe to you it does but most of us judge things for ourselves.

I don't understand ...

Why don't you just check the site every day to see what is offered and download those that you want?

You don't need to wait for any kind of announcement.

I just got this in my email today, Futoshiki and I can't download it to try, so it's a thumbsdown. I've sent screen captures, email headers, dates, etc to show GOTD that the email and programs are not getting to me until they are past the date, all 2 days late, written them, and I receive NO response do if I can't download them to try them, it's a thumbs down. Anyone else experiencing this? I've used different email addresses and servers to make sure it was not on my end, and it happens on all of them. To all of you who get to try the softward, keep it or not, you're luckier than I am!

I use Sandboxie for testing. It keeps everything in the sandbox while the program is tested and when it is deleted from the sandbox, everything is gone. I can then install outside the sandbox and know what I am getting.

Sandboxie is free, but after the 1st 30 days, they ask, each time you open it, to consider supporting it. You then click the OK button and it continues to open. Whether you support it or not, it continues to work.

Also, makes a safe way to browse without junk being installed to your computer without your knowledge.

It can be found at www.sandboxie.com

Keilaron,
Unfortunately, I suspect most of us haven't got expendable computers just to try stuff on. Most of us use one machine, which we rely on, so we don't want to risk messing it up and giving ourselves headaches by downloading programs which are falsely advertised as 100% adware and spyware free.
I'm sorry GOTD doesn't seem to realise this, and hasn't bothered to acknowledge the concerns expressed about this subject.

Well, what I usually suggest to people running such sites as GotD is to have one or more "honey pot" computers on which to test software. Having a spare system for such things is useful as it doesn't have to be connected to anything, it's results would be fairly accurate*, and one could easily use imaging software to restore it after testing (or use a system like DeepFreeze, which would be easier as the system's anti-virus software (and the like) could easily be kept up to date).

* Honey pot systems are not supposed to be used at all except the testing; In other words, no daily usage and the like, unless that's what's being tested.

The log in I use is the admin account. I don't use Vista except as Admin. I am *always* logged in as Admin on my system. So, the prog should work. It doesn't. It requests a code-key.

To clarify: I'm not logging in as different users. It requests a code-key and a "registered email address". I have neither, nor do I know where to find them. And, when I click on "Register" now, instead of that same window popping up, I get a Failed Data Set error, and so can't register, even if I could find a registered email address and code-key.
