Er zitten voor- en nadelen aan dit forum. De voordelen zijn duidelijk: je kan zelf zoveel OT-onderwerpen bedenken als je wilt en per onderwerp met elkaar babbelen. Dan kan je dus posts van vele maanden/jaren geleden nog eens nalezen.
En de posts worden direct geplaatst,zonder voorafgaande moderatie. Dat houdt de vaart erin.
Ook het "Notify me of follow-up posts via email" is erg plezierig.
Het nadeel is echter dat er een moderatie achteraf is. Daardoor zie je soms opeens je eerdere posts verdwijnen. Zonder enige toelichting. Ook als je zou denken dat je alleen maar wat onschuldigs hebt gebabbeld.

Weliswaar jaar oid later, maar lijkt ook mij wel zeer goed plan, temeer omdat super irritant is als er door de GOTD -ers nutteloos off topic gekwekt wordt en het niet gaat over de software meer!

Daar is dus een forum die ook hier erbij zit, OOK voor bedoeld ;)

Inderdaad - door de trage goedkeuring van de aangeboden teksten op de hoofdsite van Gotd-nl - is er nauwelijks meer sprake van "babbelen". Hier kan je alleen wat invoeren als je geregistreerd bent. En kan Plankje dus achteraf altijd ingrijpen. Ik betrap me zelf erop dat ik maar uiterst zelden de forums bezoek. Vandaar dat ik nu pas reageer, drie maanden na je posting. En ik ben de eerste ...

Even inhaken op wat mij zelf op dit moment bezig houdt: ik heb sinds een kleine twee weken een nieuwe laptop, op W7 ditmaal. Ik heb geen zin veel tijd te besteden aan het inrichten en zou dus het liefst van mijn favoriete programma's op mijn Vista laptop een "install" willen maken, zodat ik op de nieuwe laptop niet tijden bezig ben met finetunen van allerlei instellingen. Ik heb wat tips gekregen, onder andere van @^@ en Ootje, maar die noemen software waarmee ik hele partities kan klonen. Dat wil ik niet. Want een Vista Windows-partitie van merk X kan je niet zomaar gebruiken als W7-partitie op merk Y. Er is wel software waarmee je a raison van circa $50 per migratie ALLE software in één keer kan verhuizen van computer A naar computer B. Maar dat wil ik ook niet, want ik wil ook een toekomstige herinstallatie van W7-applicaties op de nieuwe laptop mogelijk maken en dat op applicatieniveau, niet op partitieniveau.

Een ervaringsfeit van mijn W7-laptop: die heeft twee schermprocessors. Eentje op het moederbord, de andere apart. De laptop moest regelmatig overschakelen, hetgeen tijd kost. Sinds ik Aero heb uitgeschakeld, draait de laptop als een XP/Vista-zonnetje ;). En doet Alt-tab het weer zoals het hoort. Met Aero actief werkte Alt-tab niet en moest ik Win-tab gebruiken. Je ziet dan wel mooi een driedimensionaal overzicht van alle vensters, maar het overschakelen ging klungelig.

Het zou leuk zijn als hier wat nederlandssprekende mensen zouden komen praten .De laatste tijd vind ik het niet meer zo gezellig op Gotd ,en vroeger was het alle dagen leuk en spannend om op de site te komen kijken .groetjes

As Graylox points out; if you miss the giveaway period you will then have to wait till it's rerun (assuming that it will rerun) or purchase the software. you can always try contacting the developer of software you'd really like to try explaining that you missed the giveaway. Some developers can be quite generous, but don't assume they are going to give you anything, or even reply to your emails.

Hello encule and welcome to the forums. It would help if you were more specific in your troubles so we can try and assist you. Are you able to download and install the program but not activate it when activate.exe tries to connect? If so perhaps you have a firewall blocking it unknowingly. Are you not able to download or install the program at all? Perhaps the compressed file your downloading is being corrupted in the process. If so try using some of the above mentioned softwares for extraction. But if you elaborate more on what your problem is we will be sure to help anyway we can.

Hi Sam, try using 7zip instead of winrar or winzip. I had a similar problem with some zipped files using both of these programs but 7Zip worked fine.

Sometime the cookies that are stored in the internet cache become corrupted. Clearing the cache may also solve this problem. If you're not sure how to clear the cache see my comment above (#4) :)

Using Firefox? It tends to corrupt some downloads. Best bet is to use a download manager (such as FlashGet).

I keep getting error messages, Yesterday's app and game gave me the same message

If you have a problem with it for whatever reason - don't download it. Go find another site somewhere and cause problems there. I'm sure they would just love to have you.
