If so try running the game in compatibility mode for XP SP2. </p> <p>Right click the desktop icon, left click properties, compatibility tab, check the box to run in compatibility mode, choose XP which should be the first one listed.</p> <p>Try compatibility mode (with XP) for any of the games or programs offered here that don't run well on Vista. It very well may be the fix for many. Or is your entire windows desktop freezing (eg. pressing numlock or caps lock - doesn't turn the light on you keyboard on/off).</p> <p>Some other games (eg Dwarves 2) - I have found run my CPU at 100% and unless I close all the other running programs (including the other programs in my system tray) the game is basically unplayable.</p> <p>Try closing down all your other running programs (check task manager also) - just to see if that fixes the problem.
