The way I check apps (being as I use only 1% of what I download) is, to install application, (as you have Vista you have to run it as administrator (install)) and open the application after install.

I then close it and run activate file, when it's told me it's activated I then close that, close the browser it opens then run the app to make sure it's working.

Check your registry and navigate to this [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ElasticLogic] and make sure it's got subkeys with 'username' & 'serial'.

Don't know what else I can say. if it's not connecting to the server to activate when you you run activation, it's either a firewall problem/ server problem or in your list of allowed outward and inward packets it's blocked.

Version: Vista.

I downloaded Equation Wizard opened program ran activate.exe, installed Equation Wizard.
I never had trouble before? So what did I do wrong?

Not running Vista myself, but from memory right click on Activate.exe and select the menu item "Run as Administrator". Go from there.

I got a “30 Day Trial Version”. Maybe because of Vista? Still learning about Vista, not sure if I have to “Run as Administrator”, or even how to do that. Can anyone help, thanks.
