personally, I play quake II online as it's within my reduced capacity to at least give a reasonable challenge to younger players by using strategy (don't suicide alone) over skill and reflexes.

"My favorite games are the shoot-um ups (like Half Life). I am a one handed old man with poor reflexes. "

You must be a very patient- and persistent man! Have you considered forming a league for the chronologically advanced?

What you've suggested could be accomplished with a tagging system displayed in a cloud as here in the forum. The most oft submitted tags would be the largest -- or whatever weighting system is implemented.

Although if time is that precious, and it were me, I wouldn't be playing games alone. :D

Suggestions for Future Giveaways

GGOTD has provided me with several games that I enjoy playing. I download from six to ten games a month from the GGOTD daily offerings. I don't want to waste time installing something if I know that I will not keep it. Once something is installed on my computer (even if I don't like it) it may stay on my hard drive forever.

If the comment for the game makes the game look promising, I usually take a look at the author's website for screen shots. No screen shot – no installation. There are exceptions to this. If good comments pile up in the comments section, I may re-download the offering. I also blackball games if the download does not contain instructions on how to play it. I don’t want part of the game to start off being a puzzle on how to play it. I prefer games where a joystick can be used because of reasons below.

My favorite games are the shoot-um ups (like Half Life). I am a one handed old man with poor reflexes. Those infirmities slow down my progression from one level to the next. I completed Half Life after about a year and a half of play. I am too slow to play against others - I have tried to do it several times and I get shot before I have figured out how to turn around.

I am wondering if many other users of this forum would like to see a short statement following the comment or a series of letters that answer the questions I listed above. The person writing the comment for the daily offering could add another line or two such as:

Shoot-um up
Instructions for game play included
Play on line or play your computer
Joystick or Key Board control

If the game comment section included something along the lines that I mentioned – I could avoid wasting some of the time that I spend hunting for information and game play instructions. In truth, Time is precious to me I don’t have much of it left.

This file stores information about all the HTML Help files on your system (Favorites, window size and position, etc.), and can cause the files to misbehave if it has somehow been corrupted.
