ConvertXtoDVD is, in my household where freeware is usually King, one of the programs truly worth paying for. We did.
However if it were free for a day, I would be able to convince everyone else how great it is.

ConvertXtoDVD is yes, one of the greats, however it's their flagship product, also it was first offered as freeware whilst they invested in the product and donations were accepted.

I doubt they would offer it for free.

I paid for my copy and would be a bit cheesed off unless when it went to 3.xx.xx that it was offered for free.

You already had a great program from VSO, Blindwrite, and I would like to suggest yet another great program from them, ConvertXtoDVD. You can burn any videofile to a DVD with a menu. Great program, and very usefull. Thanks
