Thanks graylox. Exciting times at the moment in the UK with Astronomy being the subject of the week. Promotions all over the country and some excellent Astronomy related programs on TV. i'm loving it.

I'm really tempted to purchase a decent reflecting telescope when I'm able to afford one; or even attempt to build one myself again. The internet is a wonderful place for finding stuff that i'd need. :)

Color-enhanced images like this make me want to visit another gem show and buy a big vial of raw
opal.

Johnny Appleseed claims he's found a new wallpaper site dedicated to SEASHELLS.
Some of the shells are awesome, though the macrophotography isn't the best and the huge branding logo is the pits. So if you find a shell worthy of your monitor, dust off INPAINT, that GAOTD eraser app... it works pretty darned well. (but you didn't hear it from me.)

OTOH, when it comes to colorful nature wallpaper, absolutely nothing can compete with the Nudibranch!

I'm not sure whether this one has been posted before. My eyes started to turn in on themselves after looking through the 3 pages of links that the community have posted.

I stumbled across the following while trying to research a problem with being able to change my desktop wallpaper (in short I ca't change it at the moment for some unknown reason) It's based on images from New Zealand (Hi Nola)
