DemoCreator installed great on Vista Business and activated perfectly for me. The program is a fully licensed copy after activation. I was really excited to use this program, and in my quick initial test, it worked great.

But after messing with the program for a couple hours last night, I’m not happy at all with it. First off, I recorded a 4-5 minute video tutorial, and when I was finished, I hit F10 to stop it. When I previewed what I had recorded, the video and audio started to unsync around halfway through. By the end, the sound was about 3 seconds ahead of the video. Also, the program cut off the last 10 seconds of my recording, even though I obviously know I hit F10 after I was completely done. I tried the same basic recording on my XP Home desktop and my Vista Business laptop, and had the exact same results on both. And one more annoying thing: there is no way to fast forward through the video once you publish it. You can fast forward the audio, but not the video for some reason.

Is there any way to help or fix any of these issues?

I did the activate.exe again and when I opened it it still shows the 30 day 30% off popup. WinXP SP2.
nonie.. that HKEY thing.. go to start/run and type regedit and that brings up that info. There's a find or search there where you can type in Wondershare, and it will find it for you. I went there and it did show a registry "key" so mine is registered even tho' it does have that pop up.

I'm wondering about the activation as well. I extracted, activated, and ran setup as outlined in the readme file. Then I got the popup that it was a 30 day trial with the 30% off offer. After looking at the comments today, I ran the activation again with the right click, run as administrator (as posted by GAOTD). I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. There is no more popup that says 30 day free trial, but I also cannot find where it says that the project is registered with a full license. Comment #24 says to go to HKEY_Current_User\Software\Wondershare\DemoCreator\Register to check. Umm...how do I do that? Where is it? Playing with the program - it looks great! It will be perfect for teaching my 77 year old mother how to do things on her computer! Many thanks to GAOTD for this one!

Creamy, I hope your wondershare problem is solved meanwhile.
If not, I remember you are running Vista, don't forget to activate with the right-click-administrator.
I have no 30 day notice, but the word "registered" is nowhere to see.

Hey creamypretzel,

I first ran the activate.exe and then the setup.exe and had no problem. Where did you see the 30 day notice when your ran Wondershare Demo Creator? I noticed that GAOTD members are given a 30% discount to buy the non GAOTD version from Wondershare. Is that what you saw?

Wondershare apps are not real giveaways as they're always stuffed with ads. Anyone care to explain how it is that these companies get paid to advertise their software and services?

Since my comment was moderated right out of existence, maybe I can post it here in the forums:

"How is a “time-limited” offer a giveaway? “We’re giving you this, but only for 30 days.”

At least the FLEX .GIF ANIMATOR was free forever. Oh, wait…..we could never get it registered…..

No thanks. I’ll be playing Pong until the next REAL giveaway."
