<p>I have never had a problem with hotmail since I used it before M$ ACQUIRED it.</p>
<p>There are so many servers, they need to be maintained, so sometimes the service is on hold.</p>
<p>Messenger sometimes does not allow you to check emails whilst maintenance is on.</p>

will allow you to view your mail.
