I'm sure GOTD paid for it believing it was a fully finished, and finishable, version that wouldn't have people tearing out their hair. If it's buggy, the developers should have supplied a fix here. Naughty developers. Smacked botties.

I agree. It is a very professionally made game of the 3-in-a-line type which I hope does well. Maybe they meant well. Language and culture barriers often cause a lot of misunderstandings.

Perhaps they played a different build of the registered/shareware version a month earlier. Same applies to people who ask "how can they download, install and test the software in 10 minutes"? Perhaps they downloaded the software months ago, and have been using it since.

It appears we've been had. Nobody could have finished level 7-2 that quickly, if at all. I downloaded the new shareware version and installed it to a different folder so I could get the "fixed" data file. After swapping that with the old data file, I was able to play the "new" level 7-2. It's really quite easy now.

Why didn't they just tell us we would only be able to try all but the last group of levels?

THEY NEVER RESPONDED. Obviously, they do not care and were just using GAOTD as game testers! BuBBy, or another Moderator, if you can at least try to make sure Slava or someone with authority at GGAOTD is aware of this treatment, I'd appreciate it.

Since games are being repeated, I think that this one should be offered again (the corrected version) and GGAOTD should NOT be paying Elefun Games for this repeat, if they did in the first place. Also, I would NOT give Elefun any more free publicity by offering their buggy games for free testing by GGAOTD members. Makes for bad feelings; makes GGAOTD look bad.

Got a simple response from "John, Content Manager" a couple of weeks ago asking what kind of problems I was having, but it went to my Spam folder. Found it 9/12 and sent them a LONG message detailing all problems and telling them they should also look here. Also sent screen shots and detailed all my problems trying to contact them through their(non-working)Forum.

No response. Are we surprised?

I have been stuck on 6-8 of this game and i will continue to keep trying to beat it :)

If memory serves, the empty cell can still be matched, you just have to experiment to see what color it is supposed to be. Then it is filled.

The double stacked ones... i think it's the top one that works....

btw .. Level 7 is the end of the game....

You CAN still use the butterflies when they are stacked on top of one another, but only one of them will work. You have to try both colors. I don't remember what happens to the empty cell. I think it is eventually re-filled.

I feel like it must be like winning a lottery. The odds of getting a board that actually will work must be very high! I'll keep trying, but sadly, after 80 or more tries, I doubt I'll make it through this level.

I just kept at it. I'm sorry, but I don't make a habit of documenting each step. All I can say is that I always try to get the butterflies under the webs first.. Like I said, I did have to restart many times, but I did get it. And, Poopie... believe it or not, I didn't cheat.

Sorry I can't give you any more details, but I really don't think it's a bug in the game......

Sorry Gimlimom, it's really hard for me to believe that you completed 7-2 without cheating. (don't take that personally). I have tried this level at least 80 times. I was able to get the the bonus butterfly on at least 8 or 9 occasions (on separate games) while playing 7-2. After the color change, there was ALWAYS a dead end. Unless your computer is more special than mine (or the others that are complaining) it is impossible to complete this level.

So, yes, please tell us how you did it. Seriously, I want to finish without cheating.

gimlimom, how the hairy heck did you manage to get past 7-2????? Inqiuring minds NEED to know.....

Okay, I'm on Level 7-6, without any cheats. The key to Level 7-1, which did take me a while to figure out, is the "vines" .. you can not match butterflies that have a vine between them. The real key here and on the further levels is to make a 5 or 6 butterfly match so that you get the bonus butterfly that removes all of that color. I did restart the level numerous times ( maybe 20 or so ), but I did make it. Just keep trying, you'll get it.

I, too, have given up. *SIGH!* I REALLY want to finish this game. Does elefun really not care? Hopefully someone on the GOTD team can rattle their cage. Surely THEY have the contact details for them.

I haven't cheated either. No Ko, I did not get past 7-2. Like VP, I haven't been able get any response either. I really would like to complete this game. VP, I also had the same problem with the butterflies on a few occasions and tried to play as long as I could in other areas to fill up the manna since these particular butterflies remained frozen. This game certainly has some technical issues which I hope will be resolved soon.

Haven't tried the cheat, but haven't gotten past 7-1 either. Got tired of trying. Elefun has some PROBLEMS.

BTW my game locked up a couple of times when 5-1 opened. I had to reboot. Also, I regularly get one butterfly sitting on top of another and a vacant space next to it. This game was seriously not tested enough and should never have been given away, much less put up for sale. I have screen captures to show Elefun, but still cannot get in contact with them

The Contact Us form on their website does not work.
There is no topic in their Forum for this game, though they have two other games listed.
I tried to join their Forum anyway. To complete registration, you must get a reply from them after registering with the Forum. I never got that email from them either. So I am stuck with no way to contact the developers.

I hope GAOTD can help us.

Hi Hadeda. Okay, I understand. Not sure if I will do it. I'd rather wait til elefun fixes the problem. However, I might be tempted if they don't hurry up!! Out of curiosity, did you use Gamewiz on the rest of the levels to the end or just on 7-2. I'm wondering if the problem is just on this particular level or it continues on the others as well.

Gamewiz32 allows you to modify values in the game :) What I like about it, it has a mode that's called "unknown value with size". The mode allows you to search the game for values that have either decreased, increased, stayed the same & or changed from the last search. I just go to a easy level and find out the manna value there and once I found out the manna value I just go to that evil level 7-2 and modify the value to 200 and do a move and finish that level :)

Oh, I'm so lame about "cheat tools". Didn't know that gamewiz32 was.
Even so, how on earth were you able to fill up the manna without any moves? Oy! I'm lost! Yes, I hope Elefun does fix the problem. I was really getting into it and want to finish!
