To make up for my inadvertent faux pas yesterday (in naively believing C-NET's description that the two software recommendations I mentioned were actually freeware programs when, in fact, they were only demos/trials) - here is an open-source option:

That's why Camstudio works on those, cause it screen captures the video
window right off the screen and then converts the capture to avi or swf.

It doesn't work on those sites because they don't use the typical video formats, instead using their own proprietary formats. If you did get it to download, you probably can't view them.

I don't think Orbit Downloader, Flashget or Video Zilla

I use Flashget for downloading streamers. It's a pretty good all-in-one solution for downloading stuff, though the Bittorent support sucks.

Abel Cam is the best surveillance software. It will zoom in 9999 & out to 0. It works with a webcam, has pan and zoom (if the webcam permits pan & zoom). Small download, works day & night.
