Thank you for the welcome and the suggestion, however, I am a day late reading this so it probably wont do any good. But I did install it on my laptop (XP) instead so I will be able to use it in class this fall. I really like this site and have been able to get some really good things as I study programming as a senior citizen and have used several of the flash associated programs to check my work.

Welcome to the forums, mh. Try this: in the run command or a command prompt (your choice) type regsvr32 nctaudioinformation2.dll (note the 2). That's Windows internal command to get things entered into the registry. If you've already tried that, I apologize. Of course, I'm assuming that file was properly placed in the System32 folder of Windows during your install. My install log shows it's definitely part of the install. You should check and if it isn't there, you'll need to redownload and reinstall. Actually, I'd try that, regardless. If one thing didn't register, there may be bigger problems. Can't help you with error code 5 but maybe solving the dll program will fix it.
