The first one is used on my main board - very occasionally (it's part of the standard EXTENDED set of emoticons) and for the purpose it shows. If you use that, you've probably already got the headache! And "misery loves company."

I think used in moderation such emicons should be okay to be used, especially if they are used in the correct context. Though I do agree that if they were abused it would make the thread they are used in maybe a little too much to take in, epspecially if you've just got up.

Looking at the three emicons above I reckon the first one would be head ache inducing, the other two are quite sedate.

Cool, but please only use those blinking thingies in the PM part of these forums.
That would spare us headaches.
