You're welcome, Mailto. A word of advice here is to save those accumulated bonuses for when you get to Troy. That is the hardest stage, and you will need all the help you can get. One nice thing about that game is that you don't lose your bonuses if you choose to replay the game, after the final stage. The only thing you don't keep, that you have to renew all the time, is the Sun power-up.

Hallo graylox,
guten Abend !
LG Mailto

Du weißt, was ich meine?

Mailto, it's like RosnSC said: you have to use the Sun powerup (in the lower left corner) to get those frozen tiles. Power it up by making combinations of 4 or more, and when it starts pulsing and says it's 100% charged, then click on it and it will blast some tiles. Just keep doing that until the frozen tiles are un-frozen. Also, make combinations below the frozen tiles, and sometimes that will move things around enough that the frozen tiles are un-frozen.

(Greetings from the US, from Delilah)

Hello, [b]thank you Whiterabbit-uk, RosnRC and Deliah.
First excuse my bad english - its right "catch the stone" was the wrong description.
It means, the frozen tiles at the upper left/right. That is my problem, they are frozen and I don't know, what I must do
in the rest of the coloured stone-field, that I can lay open them.
greetings from germany ... Mailto

Mailto, when you say

catch the stone’s left and right

do you mean the pebbled blocks, usually at the bottom of the screen? Because those stone blocks do not move; you have to move the colored blocks sideways (left or right) to get around them.

I only learned how to do this by accident, when I noticed that I was moving colored blocks sideways as I matched them up. Of course, it is much more difficult for me to do this when I want to do it!

Hope this helps.

I think the game will stay in the coffin with all the other half-abandoned games awaiting their resurrection, like The Rise of Japan 1 & 2 and Fairy Puzzle or Around the World in 80 Days, I can't go over a certain level. However, I'll keep trying... :)

As for encryption - I doubt most community members would think to look for ways of changing the game play, so its really not needed. Anyway, it would spoil it for those who do want to 'cheat' (and I use the word loosly, lol)

I think Buzz may have been using a trainer. These are porgrams that allow tyou to cheat, hence the very large score. You can get trainers from several sites I know, but I'm not allowed to link to tose sites.

I did find the followingafter a very quick look:

Hints:
------
Submitted by: David K

Conserve Powerups:
------------------
It's tempting to use your powerups as soon as you get them, but try to
hold on to them until you're really in a tight spot - just one last relic
piece you need to clear and time is running out, for example.

Maximize Your Points:
---------------------
The level is over when you have cleared the last relic piece from the board -
but that doesn't mean you have to rush! Take your time in the early levels
and maximize your score as much as possible before clearing the board.

Cheats:
-------
Savegame file is located:
C:\Documents xxx\All Users\Application Data\TERMINAL Studio\
The Rise of Atlantis\GameInfo.xml
Plain text to change number of bonuses, number of life etc...

If you want to be able to access all levels right from the start the following link gives information on how to do this:

http://www.cheaters-heaven.com/index.php?lang=en&option=com_cheaters&ID=38277

Buzz, did you really get those numbers, or are you pulling our chains...lol?

I am playing yet another round/"Journey" of the game. Some of the levels, especially the ones in Troy, are real bi***es to beat, like the very last one, and one or two before it (don't recall the numbers)! Level 4 in Troy is a tricky one because the timer bar moves really quick, and the goodies to get are at or close to the top of the game board, so lots of accumulated hourglasses are a real help. Too bad this game doesn't have the same 'trick' Atlantis Quest does. Then again, even the hardest level (the very last one) of ROA isn't as hard as the last level of AQ. That's the level (on AQ) I use my cheat on. :D

Sue - who just *had* to be the one to ask (Buzz)...hee hee

Unfortunately I don't have The Rise of Atlantis installed at this time. I'll reinstall it sometime soon. I'm just a little busy right now fixing yet more computer ills (following a virus picked up last week) Once I've reinstalled it I'll check the registry and see what you mean.

Just a thought............ So long as the column on the left hand side of the registry editor says Rise of Atlantis, the numbers I presume you are referring to may very well be a coded form of your saves.

I would suggest exporting all those entries , then create a restore point on the computer you are intending to install the game onto, then activate each of the exported registry entries. It may work. If not you can just restore the computer to it's state prior to installing the registry files.

You need to 'export' the registry files as well. Then all your saved games will be present when you transfer your game.
To export registy settings go to the registry (Start menu/run/ type - regedit) and search for all entries for the game using the find command (found in the edit menu). Right click on the entry (from the left hand column) and save. Transfer the registry files to your new computer and click on the registry files to install them to your new computer. Thats it... any problems please post again.
