Thanks G@rgoyle; i knew there must be a way. I kept trying to find a shortcut to my Adobe flash player as i thought that that would do it, but couldn't find a link to it on any of my computers. I'm just about to try it after downloading both the programs you suggested. :). I'll probably post the game i mentioned as one of the free games for the weekdays a sit was quite entertaining. :)

One of my sons friends visits several times a week and qlways plays flash games because his parents wont buy any games for him. One caught my eye last week and I thought I'd post it here, but Tizz already posted the game (see above). The game is called Crush the Castle. You use one of those medieval sling shots (I can't remember the name of the machine , it begins with a t - treb something or other, lol.). Anyway the idea is to sling stones at various castles that are quite easy to topple initially, but as you progress get harder and harder. Every few levels your ammo is upgraded (bigger stones and the ability to throw more than one stone). The castles are made on thelines of those wooden blocks you buy for the kids when they are toddlers. i've spent many a good hour building towers for my kids. The graphics are nice and the game is quite addictive. I couldn't stop playing it for well over an hour, which, apart from Samorost, is a record for me as I tend to avoid flash games; ([i]I don't like playing in a window for some reason). I found a couple of sites where you can download this game, but it downloads as a SWF file and I've not figured out how to run the game.

No game today? Don't panic!
Here are 3 versions of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

If you aren't familiar with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy you will likely be very confused. If you are familiar with the HHGG, you will also be very confused - while the game starts similarly to the book, it soon diverges. In summary, you play the part of Arthur Dent a rather ordinary and ineffectual Earth being with a liking for tea. The game starts when the local council makes a spirited attempt to demolish your house to make way for a bypass. While you're trying to cope with that, your friend Ford Prefect drops past to tell you that your efforts are pointless, as the Earth itself is about to be demolished to make way for a Hyperspace bypass. The rest is up to you!

It's a text game, not the usual browser game.
My score is 0 of possible 400, in 19 turns. Well I think I have to exercise some rounds.

1. the Java version:
Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
To come to the game you have to copy the serial into the "GO-field" nearly on the bottom of the page:
To avoid the dissapointment of a pointless quarter-megabyte download (and to prevent our poor server from being hammered by thousands of fruitless fetches) we moved the game to its own page. So, if you're still keen to see the original version in all its 1984 retro-glory, simply type the serial number from the opening screen into the field below.
<http://www.douglasadams.com/creations/infocomjava.html#help>

2. + 3. BBC remake:
Play the fully illustrated editions of the Adventure Game

4. point 'n click demo with download:
The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy Remake

Have fun and don't forget the towel!

Hi all, two excellent game sites with 100% free online games are:

1. Boxer Jam.

Out of Order is a particularly fun and interesting Boxer Jam word-association, fill-in-the-blank game that is played against the clock.

2. Pogo.

Flip Words is a fun Pogo online word game which is also played against the clock.

Boxer Jam allows online game-playing without having to sign up for a user account.

Pogo, however, does require user-account sign-up (which is 100% free).

Enjoy the games,

If you dig free-to-play Web-based games accessed via the Facebook platform (as well as a few of the other "social media" sites), http://www.zynga.com/games/ has a selection of thematic games that boast a fair degree of interactivity. I haven't tried any of the titles as yet, but several of my friends have been bitten by the bug for some time now. I know this because it's possible to game-on with your real-world buddies by sending them an online invite.

My daughter installed that flash game called Zwinky (or somethiong like that), where you can dress up an anime doll with cloths and accessories. The trouble was she also allowed my browser to get hijacked plus loads of other unpleasant things. I managed to clean up the mess after scouring the registry but she was a little upset becasue it had been installed while one of her friends was around and they had been really enjoying dressing the doll up. anyway, I found a safer alternative. Not as many accessories, but enought combinations to keep my daughter happy. The game is called midori (hi midori, I was sirprised when I found this, lol)

anyway, here it is:

Magic Pen 2 is the sequel to Magic Pen 1 that I posted above. This is basically a flash crayon physics clone. There are 32 levels and they all can be selected from the start. The controls are similar to the first game. You can draw shapes with the mouse. Press S to place pins, D to place hinges, A to erase shapes, and W blows wind on the ball. If you liked the first game then you'll like this one.

Achievement Unlocked, by Armor Games, is a game about unlocking achievements. You play as a blue elephant in a single screen platformer in a quest to unlock all 100 achievements. The game also has a hint page for when you get stuck but if you use it you become a "cheater".

Upgrade Complete, also by Armor Games, is about upgrading everything. You can't even play the game without buying an upgrade. The gameplay is a mix of spaceship shooter and tower defense. You have to kill enemies before they reach the bottom of the screen and collect the coins they drop to advance to the next level. The game itself is short but it is pretty interesting to see what all the upgrades are.

On the trail of wizz I found this little (very fast) flashgame, a shooter without shooting :)
"Blast the turrets. With their own bullets.
You cannot shoot here. Instead, you can manipulate turret's projectile so they hit themselves."

Please explore this site, very nice and interesting online- and download-games for everyone's flavour. I hope so!

If you try no other browser game on this list, make sure you try this one! I've been mulling over putting it in the Weekday Game project, but decided it was better off here.

Auditorium is a great puzzle game where you must get "the flow" to the "audio container" of the same color by moving various control icons around the screen. These icons manipulate how and where the flow goes. When an audio container is filling up, beautiful music rings out from your speakers. I've not played a game like this before and recommend it to any and all. It relaxes the mind and body with it's serene music while challenging your mind as well.

I have tried quite a lot of browser games recently while i was at my parent's house with a very low speed computer, here I would like to share some that I think is worth to try when you have free time

1. Urban Rivals
Link: http://mygame.bbgsite.com/games/urbanrivals.shtml
Urban Rivals is an online trading card games. The user interface is very clean with barely any clutter along with a delightful comic book style that resembles most quality web comics on the net. The combat system in Urban Rivals is one of its greatest features in that the battles in the game are mostly based in a Flash environment so finding battles comes along very seamlessly. Overall Urban Rivals is a very fun game that anyone can have fun playing but the lack of more game play modes and features might make the game dull and repetitive after a while of playing.

2. My Brute
Link: http://www.mybrute.com/
My Brute is most interesting game I played, and the game was like virus spread around the world. You can tinker with the looks of your brute, but the assigned traits, such as strength and agility, will be solely determined by the name choice and will not be revealed until the brute is validated. Once brute is created, you can fight against other. you can only fight three times times a day. but with each fight they gain points to level up as well as earning weapons and skills to help them in combat. Also to level up you can also recruit others to make a brute and be their disciple, which earns the “master” points every time the disciple levels up.

3. Dark Orbit:
Link: http://mygame.bbgsite.com/games/bigpoint/darkorbit.shtml/
It is very simple game to play, all you need to do is use your mouse and left click on enemies, kill them and gain XP. Then take the minerals or supplies from enemies as rewards. Two things I don’t like. First, in the Dark Orbit there is an open PVP environment; imbalanced items can ruin the game for other players. Second is the game’s music, boring and repetive. Overall, Dark Orbit is not bad if you just wanna kill some times, flying your battle ship around space kill some enemies and have some fun, it is not bad choice.

4. Fast and furious
Link: http://mygame.bbgsite.com/games/fastandfuriousfig.shtml
Fast and furious’ background is based on the movie, more visuals and less text. What you do is to gain respect by winning races, having good stats and upgrade your car with styling parts. Simple and easy if you interested with cars.

5. Sea fight
Link: http://www.seafight.com/
Seafight is a pirate-themed, browser-based MMO game. There are two pages you mainly use when you play the game. One is web page and the other is a new window with map where you sailing and fighting. What you do is use your ship to completed quest (reach a certain place or kill monsters) and get level up, buy new items or ships. The map will expand based on you level up. it also available in many languages. You can fight with other’s ship as well, or you can fight for your guild with hundreds players all around the world on each site. I play when I need a break from the normal MMO games some times. So if you like pirate game or a PvP-oriented game it is not bad choice.

6. Street Racers
Link: http://mygame.bbgsite.com/games/streetracers.shtml
Street Racers is browser based mmo, what you do is racing against others and participate in tournaments, buy and sell cars like other racing games. All the cars and car parts in this game are modelled in 3D and nicely rendered. There's no upper limit on what level you can be, you grow as much as you want and there's nobody there to stop you from doing that. After reaching certain amount of silver cups, you get to choose your own speciality. You can be one of 3: Racer, Forcer or Mechanic. It is a very cool rpg games, worth to try out.

7. WWII Warfare
Link: http://mygame.bbgsite.com/games/ww2.shtml
WWII Warfare is a free browser-based strategy game set at the height of World War II. You build your own base and develop your infrastructure, such as military academy, medical center, depot and command center, etc. There are three different types of resources in WWII Warfare: Oil, Steel, and Grain. Meanwhile, you can also make your streamlined weaponry and equipment according to your strategy. Ultimately, when you become strong enough, you can wage wars against your targets or join an alliance to fight together against your enemies.

8. Sherwood Dungeon
Link: http://mygame.bbgsite.com/games/maidmarian/sherwood.shtml
Sherwood Dungeon, a browser-based massive multiplayer online role playing game where you defend your honor in combat with players from around the world. Sherwood features an infinitely deep dungeon filled with monsters. Since it is playable from your browser downloading is unecessary, although you must have Shockwave 7 or better to play.

You are right Wrascally Wabbit! This post is really hard to find. Maybe Mr. B could move it when he has time.

Got this in my RSS feed from Gizmo 250 Best Free Online PC Games At One Place.

Want to look for best free online PC games, lots of games and least advertisements?

FrivFriv.com is my top recommendation. Upon visiting the site, you'll be greeted with a full-screen of tiny screen shots for more than 250 free online PC games! All kinds of popular games, of various genres that you can imagine.

I used to not play online games as my ISP has a cap on our down/uploads. But now I use FlashOffliner: Play Flash Games Offline. Really cool! Once you get the game, you don't need an internet connection to play. Of course if you like to chat during the games or upload your high score then you can't use this.

Happy Gaming!

The Ambassador/Queenie
(Since the Mango Princess is back, I am have so many names I am not sure who I am at times.)

Here is a cool browser game for everyone to check out. It is free of course and different then the norm. http://www.scarygirl.com
I found from emails from softonic I get about software.
http://en.onsoftware.com/scary-girl-the-biggest-best-browser-game-so-far/

If you’re looking for high production values for nothing, check out Scary Girl. This free online game is one of the biggest, and slickest efforts I’ve ever seen.

It can take a while to load up, but once it has, it’s a great looking cartoon platform game that wouldn’t look out of place on a console. It’s a bit simple, perhaps, and mostly revolves around finding and collecting things, but it’s really well done so that can be forgiven!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this is the list you meant rabbit. All these list are confusing. Maybe a list for each brand of games could be pinned and only opened and updated by you and wizard.
just a thought.
