Horroween

The first two links to the Authors sites are not working, so you have to get the download directly from the caiman download link (third link).

http://www.caiman.us/pageN.php?nr=1444&f=Horrorween.zip

I haven't tried this one yet, but if it is anything like another game that I used to have, I more than likely won't like it. I believe the old game was Alien Shooter, but I can't swear to it.

Changing Weapons: hold control and click space

Change Items: hold control and click shift

Thanks WR, This could prove to be an interesting activity while I am offline for a bit. As well as all the other games that you have posted. I have only been gathering for about a week, but already have a good collection from your posts. Thanks again, it is much appreciated. Should help some, when the time comes, with the DT's from not having internet access.

I couldn't get your link to download the game. Got this error:

Application error (Apache)

Change this error message for exceptions thrown outside of an action (like in Dispatcher setups or broken Ruby code) in public/500.html

But was able to grab it from here: » http://www.gameguerilla.com/snes/zombies_ate_my_neighbors.exe

It’s approaching Halloween (okay it's still a few weeks away), so I though I’d start to add some Halloween themed games to the pot. Over the next two weeks leading up to the event, I’ve got at least another 15 horror /Halloween themed games to post, though most will be posted the last few days leading up to the 31st. Monday’s game is called:

Zombies ate my Neighbors: (1.05Mb)

Zombies have invaded your neighborhood and are trying to eat your neighbors. Try to save the neighbors, cheerleaders, and babies in 55 levels of action and adventure. Battle zombies, mummies, evil dolls, lizard men, vampires, and giant ants with a wide range of weapons including Uzi squirt guns, exploding soda, bazookas, weed whackers, and ancient artifacts. If you have a hard time getting through one of the levels, have a friend come over and help you out in the Two-Player mode. Save your neighborhood from a terrible fate in ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS.

This is a SEGA Genesis game, so when you first start the game it will be in a window. To go full screen just use the Esc key. You can use a game controller with this game otherwise it’s keyboard controller only. To move around use the arrow keys and walk over items to pick them up. This is a last minute posting, so I’ve not figured out how to swap weapons yet. (Partly because I’ve not picked up any spares yet, lol.)

The graphics are noticeably blocky, (as you would expect for 8 bit graphics) but the game is still fun to play if you like these sorts of shooters. I’ll be keeping it for now as I’m not sure about it yet.

http://www.gamefabrique.com/zombies-ate-my-neighbors.html

=======================================================================

Horroween (7.28Mb)

Here’s another Halloween arcade game. The aim is to escape from the zombies and shoot them down. An Alien Shooter-esque style game. The game appears to run slow while loading, but once loaded works just fine. You will require both the mouse and keyboard to play this game. The cursor keys for movement and the mouse button for direction and weapon firing.

There’s no desktop shortcut installed nor is there an installer, so you will have to manually place the unzipped folder wherever you wish it to go (this can be done using your unzipper.

There are some parameters that can be adjusted,, but there’s no access to the options menu via the opened game. You will have to go into the games folder and click on the Confighorror file to change settings such as the sound and graphics, etc.

controls:
arrows = run around
mouse = aim
left mouse = shoot
right mouse = select weapon
space bar = pause
Esc = exit game
Alt+F4 = Emergency Exit (boss around?)
