Mike,(comment 46)That worked for me, I had hoped that was the solution
for you too. I was really frustrated. Just a guess, could it be a firewall issue?

Worked in windows 7.
In windows 8, it seems working but has bugs, eg. asks for registration on right clicks.
In this case there is a reason why it correctly does not state windows 8 compatible.

@ 35. It is possible your environment variable has been changed. This will cause permission issues. The variable is sometimes changed when .NetFramework 4 is installed via Windows updates.

Click Start > right click Computer > Properties. In the left pane click on the link "Advanced system settings". Click on the Advanced tab. At the bottom of the Window click on the "Environment Variables" button. In the bottom window scroll down to "Path and click on it then click the "Edit" button. In the new small window the variable path will be highlighted. Right click on it an choose copy. Now open a notepad and choose paste. Compare what you pasted to the below. If what you pasted is different then replace it with what is below.

Be advised the above instructions assumes Windows is installed on C:\ drive. If that is not the case simply input the proper drive letter.

C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\

I personally can't see a big advantage to a program like this. WHY? It's all about organization. It sounds like a lot of people have one huge partition with all their folders in it.

I have my hard drive partitioned into 7 different catagories. Some of the partitions (which appear as separate drives) are, Misc(D), Cad(E), Cars(F), Photos(G) etc etc.

I then put shortcuts to my most used programs on the desktop. Or a short cut to the folders themselves.

Yes I have a LOT of desktop shortcuts. But I also have folders on the desktop containing program shortcuts to programs that are not used as often. i.e. a folder called "Data sheets" another "Giovanni" etc etc.

With over 550,000 files on my HD, having a good file manager is important to keeping track and arranging all the folders etc. I use PowerDesk.

It's all about organization.

To Janet #24,

I just wonder why so many Bug were fixed from the previous version, it make me think of how many new Bugs were introduced in the newer version.
Some of the old Bugs looks like had a fatal flow and are pretty heavy in functionality.
On the other hand, I use windows native icons for folders and it works nice without any external software.
Just right click on any folder, properties, customize and just change the icon to what ever you have in the list of icons, I have hundreds and hundreds available to chose from.
It works without any headache and wary about future bug fixes and no memory used or to slow the CPU.
