One thing to check with some software is which mode it’s using to do the graphics. There are two basic 3D driver modes, DirectX and OpenGL.

Some systems will run a game in either mode fine, some need to be forced to one or the other.

I am not sure what this software offers for options, but try looking for an option to switch modes between DirectX and OpenGL.

The reason this game needs a high-end graphics card is the very reason it is practically unplayable. The constant scrolling of the entire 3D scene takes ALOT of GPU power to perform, most if not all others just move the ball and table gizmo’s but the majority of the scene remains in the same place unchanged from one moment to the next.

I was really looking forward to this one in spite of his huge size–I love pinball–but no matter how many times I downloaded it and tried to install it, it was a no go. Boo Hoo

YOU NEED A DX9-based Graphics card for god sake for the people out there sayin’ that this game is crap because it’s so laggy. Especially comment 8. I bet he has a GeForce FX (5) card. Your specs are good enough even if the Pentium 4 is already old. But having a DX8 card with DirectX 9 installed is not good enough. IT NEEDS HARDWARE PERFORMANCE/CAPABILITY not just having DX9 installed.

Played the game at 1280×1024 with Anti-Alias 2x. Game was smooth and enjoying.
Pentium 4 2.4A
AGP8x Radeon 9600 Pro EZ 256mb 128bit (An entry level DX9 card)
768mb DDR400 @ DDR333

Tried to install on machine with Vista, but it doesn’t work. I get the sound, but no picture. I’ll try again next weekend.

Thanks for the alternative software site. I have at least two items downloaded from this site or the game giveaway site and though I’m pretty sure I installed and activated, I can only find the setup file now.

I had also read the license agreement last night, and like Fubar (comment #27) stated, “It’s very heavily oriented toward sending and receiving advertising information”!!! What gives GAOTD!???
I thought the software you offered is suppose to be 100% Clean!! NO ADWARE! NO SPYWARE! !????????????!
