A new version of the program is up at www.fastvideoindexer.com.

Simply install the new version on top of the version you activated on the gotd day and the dialog problem will go away. Do not uninstall the other version before installing.

I can not make it to convert flash videos fast and easily. Although it seems like works well, I recommend thisDVD Video Suite which can converts DVDs and videos to play on almost any portable device including iPod, iPhone, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, video capable mobile phones, and Pocket P.C., etc. Meanwhile, it can also support output almost any audio/video format including Video format(H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc.) and Audio format(AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA, etc.).Also, there is a YouTube video download and conversion software which makes you download flv videos fast and convert YouTube flv videos to iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, Pocket PC, PSP, or Zune freely! It is better than the Fast Video Indexer, I think.

Hitting "close" it proceeds to work somehow, in spite of the request of a registration code. Actually I got the addition of unusefull files and some random capture, messing more and more up a folder that I supposed to put order into instead. REMOVED.

I had the same registration problem. Product seems to work, but the option to register is still available (which tells me it's not registered, and I just haven't seem the limitations on functionality yet).
For those saying it's corrupt..no it isn't (otherwise it'd be corrupt for everyone). The problem is some conflict on your system.
For those saying "quit complaining...it's free software", wise up. There's a comment section for a reason. It doesn't say at the top "Nice Comments Only, Please". If I were a developer, I'd want to know that 97% (or whatever the case may be) of users think the software's buggy/redundant/generally poor; particularly before I sink any additional money into marketing it.

It's an interesting concept but badly excecuted and buggy. I had the same registration problem, It would crash upon startup when asking me to register and then if I allowed it to send the crash report, it would proceed to lock up the system.

Finally after some registry hacking (It expected an A@A.COM email and it was given "@GIVEAW..."), I removed the @ and I managed to get it to load.

OK but nothing a good media player could not do, it's got a bad interface which is a mixture of Windows95 resorces an styling and a stab at Vista's visial styles which is a bit cheesy..

Thumbs down sorry due to the glitchyness of it and the impossibility to get it working smoothly. A good idea if well implemeted properly however. Hope for something better.

Given the registration bug, and ignoring that I threw my rather large collection of images and movies (33,000 files) at which point it crashed for the following crash log (went ahead and sent the report)

After that I threw one video file at it and it crashed again. I attepted to create a new project, but the new option doesn't appear to do anything. When I tried selecting items in another folder it finds all the original items I attempted to add.

It seems a little buggy at this time, maybe on the next version.
