Ok, I've been working with it for a couple of days on and off now, and had some time to check it out more. I am unable to convert MOV files to anything other then MOV and get any sound, wasn't really the whole point of downloading it though, the filters aren't all that "complete", when I run them, funky things happen to my video's, not to mention the affore mentioned "file growning" issue. however the wondershare program will do the rotation, and even shrink converted files..for converting MOV files, I've so far found nothing better then "Total Video Converter"

I really had my hopes up for this one because I've got several .MOV files (quicktime) taken "sideways" (i.e., portrait mode) that I wanted to be able to rotate to (pillared) landscape orientation. It downloaded and registered just fine in Win Vista Home Premium, but using it to rotate one 9.28 second, 724 KB .MOV file by 90 degrees (and outputting it likewise to .MOV file)
gave me a 48,465 KB .MOV that my QuickTime player couldn't play: instead, it complained,
"Error -2048: Couldn't open the file CIMG0366vert.mov because it is not a file that QuickTime understands."Oh yes, and then Extra Video Effect Editor was hung. The Win Vista diagnosis:
Description:A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.Problem signature:

 Application Name:	VideoEditor.exe

So, off it comes. Glad I made a system restore point before installing. A pity, I could have put this to good use, were it usable. Though, I must say, growing a 724 KB file to nearly 50 MB is not a particularly laudable behavior, either :-{ .

Seems to install OK but gets the following error when I try to run it. (A reboot didn't solve the problem)
"VideoEditor MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Is anyone from the company monitoring these posts? this error has occured for more than one person. Is there a fix available?

This is probably the crappiest software I have ever tried from this site. I have a clip done on my camera that needed to be rotated. It was originally in Kodaks MOV format. I used Daniusoft Media Converter to convert my Kodak Mov files into WMV files. That worked great, but it wouldn't rotate the file. I tried Extra Video Effect Editor and instead of rotation I got Inverse color. Now it looks like a B&W negative that is sideways. No help file. No instructions. The preview sucks. I tried to re-do from the MOV file, it showed the file as 1 sec instead of 40. I don't know what the authors were thinking when they designed this, but when I look at this, and try it, I say Crapware!!

Ok, I’ve downloaded many programs, and the great majority have been really good. This one is great, I had a video I had recorded on my digital camera, which happens to be a Panasonic(which means it’s recorded in MOV format. Well, I also had another “issue”, since it was a video of fireworks, I’d turned my cam on it’s side. I found a couple of programs that would convert it to other formats, and that was good, but it still came out on it’s side. This one, TG, allows you to rotate video’s…YAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys, I not only swear by you guys, I also have introduced many of my family and friends to you.

This looks interesting but seems to be lacking the thing I need - a function to enhance and work on the audio tracks. I have a number of lecture videos where the sound is abysmal and I want to be able to boost and clean the audio. I never see this kind of feature mentioned in these tools.
