Downloaded, registered, tried it out. As a community college teacher it looked like a great opportunity. Did not turn out that way. Maybe it’s just me but the lack of “help” left me a tad befuddled and struggling to figure out how to do what I wanted to do. As some have mentioned, there was quite a lag and the quality is not what I hoped for.

Someone posted a link to Wink 2.0. Went there, downloaded, now have 2 projects underway. The 2 tutorials are great, the user guide is well done, the interface is relatively easy, as are most of the options. I thank the person who posted the Wink link :)

And though I did not find Extra Screen Capture Pro to my liking, I thank GOTD for offering it.

Easy to use, installs fine on Vista with SP2.

BUT the quality of the video is poor.

What a great program. I have used it to record from the webcam and it worked fine, although the speech lagged a bit but i accept that. Looking forward to calling my grandaughter overseas (age 3yr) and ecording the conversation.

For those who can only offer negative comments about GOTD then plaese dont bother. It is good to be able to get some software and try it out for free, so GOTD keep on with the good work

OK, I did not have the XviD codec (encoder) installed before. I do see now that it does support it. I used it to capture video while watching a show in my browser on hulu.com. I am impressed with the quality of the results. Very nice.

Registered fine and easy.

In settings -> screen annotations -> Help does not work, it gives me error “Cannot find file ‘C:.. etc.. Make sure the path or internet address is correct.”

I hope I can get help on website. Bug in the sofware.
#33 hourglass cursor. It seems is default but can be changed to whatever you want.

I can’t get it to record the audio my PC is making, I’m sure the microphone options work fine but I don’t want to use those.

Choppy video, jagged raster output… it’s got a long way to go.
Not to mention it requres the dreaded .Net framework aka the .Net bloatworks.

Pro content creators pretty much all use SnagIt. $40 and worth every penny if you need good output and consistent results.
