Thank you thank you Jo #34
Case sensitivity in registration is such an obvious solution, but so easy to overlook!

Ok, just confirmed it does *not* need an internet connection to register, so copy/past the name and reg code in (copy the *whole* # with dashes and past into the first window in the form- worked for me) but beyond that all I can think of is permissions.

I have to give this a thumbs up because it has better fine control over which exact fields it will remove than any that I have so far tried (but there are a couple I still have on the list)- if you take the time to set it up. Funny thing, the non-portable version displayed the thumbnail right the first time.

Also, a warning- if you remove too much exif info, those plug-the-card-in print kiosks won't even 'see' the photo- found that one out the hard way. so quick clean will have a negative effect on easy prints.

I caution anyone that submits photos to professional organizations for publication against using this. I know AP checks this information and can cause quite an uproar if what you write about the photo differs from what the exif information says - such as date taken. Always have your camera set to the correct date as well. This software would be useful for personal photo galleries where you may want to have smaller file sizes to upload, but don't use it in a portfolio.

Hi, I had the same registration loop problem, until I found out that the license code is case sensitive - you simply have to enter the license code in capital letters, then it works alright. Good luck!
ps: Same user name and (case sensitive) key works with the portable version that can be downloaded from the superutils website.

Who have problems with registration: just contact the developer until this offer is actual. They are providing a good support, despite this is a giveaway. I think, you may consider contributing some ideas or suggestions for the next release of EXIF Cleaner in return.

P.S. The other problem with this incomplete registration issue is that during the "trial period" it only allows you to process 7 photos at a time.

I have installed the software on my computer and when I opened it, it asked me to register it (indicating that otherwise, this would be a 30-day trial only). I entered the name as requested and registration code provided. I was then told that to complete registration, I would need to restart the ExifCleaner program. I did so, and was prompted to go through the entire registration program again. This seems to be an endless loop. GiveawayOfTheDay is not about 30-day trials, but about fully functional copies of software. I would appreciate a response addressing this problem before the offer expires. (I am in compliance with the criteria outlined in the last part of Comment 6, so this is not the issue.)
