I downloaded this on Friday and it was activated. I double-checked to make sure that the registration "took". Today when I launched it, it shows up as unregistered, and no time to even evaluate it. I am irritated that after taking the time to download, install and activate, it doesn't work.

I was disappointed to find there is no import for names and addresses. Minimum, some form of import from a comma delimited file (csv - "comma separated values").
I have over 2000 addresses in my current address book (I have a Palm Treo, and that comes with contact software that synchronises very well with my Palm desktop software) so if I ever decided to change software platforms, I certainly wouldn't want to key them all in again. The Palm software has the ability to import and export csv and tsv (tab delimited) text files - although, I imagine I would lose some features such as the pictures I have associated with each contact.
Also, I don't have or use QuickBooks so that feature isn't of much use. Again, similar csv import/export options would work here too so you could integrate with any similar systems if you wanted to.
In any case, the Palm software is free and can be used on your desktop regardless of whether or not you have a Palm hand-held/pda with which to synchronize. Free (always) is definitely cheaper that $40 and it has most of the features offered by eReminder.
Thumbs down I'm afraid and I'll be unloading it from my computer.

Cheers.

#38 Justin C said: "In actuality, EssentialPIM does the same thing."

When other PIMs have been given away here, a number of people always recommend EssentialPIM. It's a nice program, in some ways, but it has one BIG problem: When I print a weekly or daily schedule, the items for the current day are printed so lightly (grayed out) that I can't read them. So the program is useless to me. I even tried the Pro version--with the same results. Ridiculous! Even items I made an all-day event are grayed out.

Thanks, GAOTD, for this giveaway (eReminder), but I won't be trying it. I just took a look at AnyTime Organizer (recommended by Fubar) and would love to have it if you could get the developer to offer it. Meantime, I'll keep trying to find a free calendar program I can use.

I'm very late today, but it was a necessity. For reference: there are a number of PIMs and calendars in the GOTD freeware library. I have other adequate calendar/PIM options so won't be testing. Must say this is the best collection of comments I've seen in more than half a year. Bravo to those posters!

Downloaded, activated, and installed, and it shows as only a one day trial version. I didn't mess with anything at all, completely let it do its default thing (and this app doesn't let you even choose what drive you want to put it on!) It asks for license and there was no license key included.

I am glad some good freeware alternatives were posted so that if I want a reminder program, I have a choice of something that will WORK more than one day

Installed. Did not work worth a darn. Uninstalled. I would really like an application that would synchronize my Exchange calendars. I have multiple exchange calendars running through various outlook clients. Currently I treat them all as POP/SMTP accounts. 12 calendars in outlook - yuck - all mine - all out of sync, and Plaxo just mutiplied the issue.

Install Notes
Use activate.exe file to activate your Professional version

Please select eReminder Professional to install, other versions are not supported to install freely.
If you have installed other version of eReminder, please stop eReminder firstly, then uninstall eReminder, select the Professional version to install. After that, double click the activate.exe file to activate your eReminder, then eReminder Professional should work okay, with no register reminder.

Good to see that the developers are providing feedback, it shows that they are interested in improving their product and supplying decent backup service, this always is a plus for me when i look at buying software, or any product, for that matter.
