This program was featured in Giveaway of the day. as free licensed software daily and now I see there is a price of $35.95. Maybe some one should look up the meaning of FREE LICENSED SOFTWARE!

THANKS for this fantastic software – it really helped me in my endless search for a smart program to make an presentation.

It is the first software, i’ve found, that really make an ebook.exe file without problems.

Well, the agreement with GOTD is “no commercial use” which means if one wants to sell his/her ebooks they can’t with the GOTD version. But check the feature comparison list at the site, anyone wanting to sell ebooks created with this program really needs the Pro version anyway, not the Standard. The Pro version is $70, which would be a business expense and the paid-for program becomes part of capital. Unless of course someone feels they would not be able to make back even $70 selling their ebooks, in which case they should probably think about starting some other business. ;)

Standard version still has use for some though. Teachers might find it useful to create study guides for public school students, college students could use it to create their own study guides, those who want to give away (as opposed to sell) ebooks could find it useful. “No commercial use” doesn’t mean you can’t give away your products, it only means you can’t sell them.

I do get its purpose; But why, as you say, advertise it as ‘Standard’, when the only difference is the use of it, and the licensing provided by GoTD essentially makes it the FREE version?

Love the product though. If I do need a use for it, I will pay for Standard or maybe even Pro. For now though, no specific use I can think of for private use.

As for your comment; I love GoTD; Great idea. Just sometimes things end up counter-intuitive and essentially demo-ify a product by licencing rather than allowing the use of the product as intended to encourage upgrading to a newer or higher ‘package’ (IE:- pro)

I don’t understand term and conditions in this case. If the only difference between Free and Standard version is “Creating commercial eBooks / Using eBooks in commercial projects” (see http://www.ebookmaestro.com/versions.html) and GOTD terms for offered Standard version say “Strictly non-commercial usage”, it means that you are giving us already free version!

BTW, great software. As I see, some commenters absolutely did not get its purpose.

Just made this app totally useless. Thumbs down everyone. Can use it commercially, just can’t profit from it or any product created using it. Essentially a glorified demo for this one because of the LA
