To Keith Perry, sorry you feel that way about this program. I think you may have made a serious error though. As I mention in my post above, each save you make can be massive. The largest one I have is 50703Mb in size. I think that’s 50Gb. Massive yes, so you need to really manage your rollbacks, which you evidently didn't. (If you did I apologize) it's really easy to do this by going into the Snapshot history and unlocking those you want to delete then click on the button that says delete all unlocked. It's as simple as that. My boot drive is 750Gb in size, so 50Gb isn't a massive loss, but if you've got a drive smaller than 150Gb or so, it would soon swallow up the HDD space. Not that every snapshot is that size. The smallest one apart from the installation snapshot is just over 1Gb.

This program has saved my system so many times since It was given away that I will definitely be buying it once I've bought another software title I've been after for some time (Dragon: Naturally Speaking).

The complaints that changing the MBR were serious have been totally unfounded. I've not had any problems with running this program at all. I think the only drawback is if you forget to manage the saves you make. These can be quite substantial in size and will soon eat into your hard drive. Even the larger ones.

This is a superb program, that's easy to use, and simple to understand. I find it hard to believe that it only received 37% thumbs up and hardly any positive postings. It seems to me that a few very negative postings that spout forth a load of technical jargon is enough to put most community members off. Thankfully I decided to download and install the program onto two of my computers and wished I’d installed it onto the rest. Also I wish I'd known about such software a few years ago prior to losing a massive amount of data on one of my hard drives (200Gb) following a clean up using CCleaner. I’ve still not been able to replace many of the programs that were on that disc. If I'd had this program I’d never have had the problem.

I’m still not very good at creating restore points, sometimes leaving it a month in between creating a rollback. I’m trying to get in to the habit of doing it prior to any installation as it’s easy enough to manage the rest of the rollbacks and you can easily delete those that are no longer required. Still, as mentioned in my opening statement, it’s saved me many times already.

Well done on a brilliant piece of kit 'PC Undo' this has to be one of the best giveaways I've kept so far. Thanks a bunch to the giveaway team for getting this software in the first place.

EAZ FIX saved my hard drive!

A few days ago, after a gaotd installation on my test-drive my XP-Pro don't want to start again. Not even in the secured mode.
I was going into the EAZ FIX menu and restored the last snapshot.
Et voila, everthing was working well.
Thank's EAZ FIX and GAOTD. I love this prog.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS SOFTWARE!!!

Used this for a couple months. My computer froze up last week. Figured I needed to defrag. The drive was full. Deleted and moved files off of the OS drive to make space. Even uninstalled a lot of software. Nothing helped. No extra empty space was created. After several days of struggling, I switched back to the original EAZ FIX snapshot. Did nothing. So, I uninstalled EAZ FIX. Suddenly my drive is less than half full! Downside is that every other upgrade, new printer or other installation I needed to keep was gone as well. Now I have to figure out all the stuff to redo and the preferences to recreate for them.

Fricking idiots are evidently duplicating the drive and hiding the files somehow and that took up the space. THANKS EAZ FIX!!!

I downloaded this, installed and activated this product. Yesterday my notebook crashed with vista business on, windows restarted and started scanning the hard drive, found errors and fixed it. after windows loaded i found that files were missing and/or corrupted. I loaded the snapshot from 3 days ago as the previous two days, the notebook started to act up and i knew that a crash was on its way. so i thought all my work i had done after the snapshot was gone... NOT! you have the option to then load the "future" snapshots as virtual drives and copy all the required files back. I LOVE the programme and will recommend it to my friends and family.

This application has just got me out of big trouble. Due to problems to boring to go into I used a utility to supposedly remove unnecessary frile from Windows. It did that and almost all my applications and most of windows, anything without an active process running. It even removed all traces of EAZ-FIX from the Programs folder as well as Firefox, IE amd most control panels.

However, the EAZ-FIX tray icon was still running and from there I was able to turn back to a previous snapshot quickly and with no problems.

So I would reccomend it. If I did not have a GOTD free version I would actually shell out my own hard earned for it.

This thing is junk. It was cumbersome to use and when I tried to uninstall it my system wouldn't reboot. I finally had to take my computer to a shop, and they couldn't get it to reboot, either. It wound up costing me $165 to have them pull the data off, format the drive, reinstall Windows XP, and move the data back. I lost a lot of programs that were downloaded from the Internet, include a bunch from Give Away of the Day. I am NOT happy.
