Despite the bozos who are dinging my comment #34, it is correct--Easy RSS2Email damages exactly the same registry entries as Easy RSS Content Generator does. I'll bet the bozos who are dinging my comments haven't even checked their registries against the entries which I documented on BladedThoth's forum.

Thx, GAOTD Team as ever. It's surely not a easy thing to maintain the service.

About Rss2Email i don't think its useful, such a task should be done by a server side script and not a client pc... on the other hand it's probably a feature of major blogging software already.

#12 (and everyone else), the "suspicious activity" was probably due to registry damage. My computer is busy with other tasks, so it will be later before I'll have a chance to install Easy RSS2Email, but it's highly likely that it does similar damage to Easy RSS Content Generator, which I mentioned on that program's GOTD comment page, and which I have documented in BladedThoth's forum. Specifically, Easy RSS Content Generator "takes over" a large number of shared Windows common controls. I doubt that this was malicious, but it does indicate a stunning lack of programming competence, and sooner or later, may cause you grief (some people had immediate problems from this after trying Easy RSS Content Generator, probably after an uninstall).

#29 Hi Jacob, this program does not make RSS feeds, it sends existing ones out in newsletters to mailing lists.

To make your own RSS Feeds (free that is) have a look here

So... This looks good. I've been looking for a way to make RSS feeds. At least, I suppose that is what this does. I'll try it out.

PS. Giveaway of the Day, I love the comment stripes and the comment ratings. Keep up the great work!

#24 Hi there, thanks so much for your message - yes regarding my earlier post of #17 this afternoon I was thinking about it and came up with the idea of editing the HTML of the templates' design to add a message at the top and bottom of the feeds. I hadn't thought of creating an introductory feed of my own, that is a great idea, thanks so much.

Whilst adding to the feeds is therefore possible this is merely a "way around" the problem as opposed to an ideal solution; if the developers would add this feature as part of the program then it would make the software much, much better without us having to tweak it ourselves. But this is more a point to the developers and thank you so much again for writing with those ideas.
