This was working fine, but suddenly it stopped recording macros. Now I can use only the macros I created before.

Anyone have any such experience???

I agree with Peter. Autohotkey is the best macro recording program. it even allows you to run it portable. And you can create full programs with it in addition to simple macros.

Installs perfectly fine on XP SP3 but immediate uninstall.
It works exactly like it supposed to but I use my laptop for internet banking every day and if it were stolen, that would be a problem. The thief would not require any passwords.

Installed and registered nicely on XP system. I set up a simple set of tags for inserting HTML blockquotes with formatting in a desktop blog client.

On attempt to playback the macro, I got an error message saying the macro was interrupted. Nothing about why or what I could do. On the first try, the macro typed the first character in the string before aborting. After that, it wouldn't do anything but display the error message.

I tried changing the record, stop and playback keys. Same error message.

When I went to uninstall, I got warning messages about removing two of the program's components, so I had to archive those and cross fingers there won't be problems.

All in all a complete bust.

Thanks for a great program. I've been looking for something just like this and tried several trial programs without finding one that I liked. I like this one. Does just what I wanted, connects to the program I wanted, and easy as pie to use.

Oh my god, how are you even reading this website in that OS? Did it even know what networks were. I know win 3.x was useful in its day, but really...:)
Why would you want to automate anything on Win3.x anyhow? Read the system requirements please

My wife has Early Onset Alzheimer's, but likes to play Sims2. Does anyone know if this, or any other, macro recorder or macro program would create macros which only work in Sims2? I would like to set up some cheats so she will always have enough money to get her peeps into any house. Any suggestions for fairly simple, untimed brain challenging games would also be appreciated.

How I frequently use a Macro: In effect, as a download manager -- to "automate" the process of downloading a large number of files from a website when they are NOT compressed into a single file, but must be accessed one-at-a-time by clicking on each file's link.

Use a Macro creator that 1) simulates keystrokes AND mouse operations, and 2) allows for scheduled execution times.

Create a new Word document. Copy and paste all links into the document (one link per line). Save the Word document.

Create a Macro to do the following: Open the Word document. Select the document's FIRST line (a link) and copy it to the clipboard. Paste the copied link into your web browser's address box and click Enter. When the save dialog box appears, make the appropriate clicks to download and save the file. Once the download begins, return to the Word document to delete the FIRST line (all other lines automatically move up). Save the Word document.

Schedule executions of the Macro far enough apart to allow downloads to complete. I've used this procedure to download numerous files while I sleep.
