I have this since 1 Feb 2015. Munsoft products are quite good. I have used them to recover photos for a friend from his scrambled SD card.

In case you are confused by the myriad of similarly named software products from the same company, Munsoft has a host of products such as:
Easy Drive Data Recovery
Easy Archive Recovery
Easy Office Recovery
Easy File Undelete
Easy Digital Photo Recovery

and finally their Data Recovery Suite is a grab-bag that includes the following:
Easy Access Recovery
Easy Archive Recovery
Easy Mail Recovery
Easy Office Recovery
Easy Drive Data Recovery
Easy Digital Photo Recovery

Installed on Windows 10 64 bit. It acted as if it installed fine and opened the webpage saying “Easy Drive Data Recovery 3.0 activated - what next?”
Yet the software says “Unregistered Version” From the “Help” tab going to “Enter a Registration Key” it pop’s up with the box to enter the key. Entering the key provided it then has a pop up window that says “THE REGISTRATION KEY IS INVALID”

I guess that needs to be fixed or you need to post a correct/valid Registration Key.

I to follow Karl's many inciteful comments on the many offerings here at GOTD. He is a great tool as they say and often times comes up with usefull suggestions as well as alternatives that may work better. I read him first! Thank you Karl.

I have been installing the GOTD programs on OEM Edition of Win 2010 Pro without the problems I am reading here. I do cheat a little in that I have installed the Start 8 Program downloaded free from IObit. It basically takes you back to your older Win 7 Start Menu which I loved. Start 8 works and since there are new concepts and menu's in Win 2010 it dumps you to it's special menu's as needed. It actually gets you where you want to go faster than the 2010 user interface. If you don't like it just uninstall and you are back to learning Win 2010.

So anyway I installed this recovery program last night just after it came out and hooked up and old WD 1 Terabyte 32 bit drive which had been formatted and thrown in the drawer with my old SCSI drives and ran the full force recovery on it. It ran while I was asleep and when I checked this morning I found over a decade of data and forgotten history. The program just works and I am keeping it.

Win 2010 Side Note: I started using MS Software in 1983 with CPM 86. Over the years Billy and Crew have written, stole and rebranded software. Every edition was an experiment using us as the guinea pigs victims. Karl is astute in that Win 2010 is "A work in progress." Both MS and Apple have worked hard to keep opensource Linux and others down. While I refuse to conform and have no handheld devices I rely on I am just using what works for me at my desk. ------ So for now we have mainstream MS and Apple both dictating to us what we want, what we will have and how much it will cost. So at this point I am picking MS and having spent $$$$$ with our friend Billy! I really like Steve Jobs but the Mac Pro Debacle has soured me.

Thanks GOTD and Munsoft for todays offering.

A Special Thanks to Karl as well!

Rick Martin

Installed Easy Drive Data Recovery 3.0 on W7/64 with no problems. Ran it and was very impressed with the clear & neat GUI. The program found quite a few files and recovered them OK. I then ran WISE Cleaner File Recovery (Free) and that found an enormous amount of files but recovered just a handful. Tried Undelete 360 (Free) and that was worse still (Found loads but recovered zilch) I then ran MiniTool Power Data Recovery (given away here in Dec 2014) and that found and recovered a lot more files than this offering so that one is the winner overall.

I will keep this one for a while (And promptly delete 'Undelete 360') because it just MIGHT find that one file one of the others might miss.
Hope that helps anyone sitting on the fence and with an Op Sys that you can run this on.

I am going to try to use this software to recover data from Floppy disks, that is all that a friend has left from a divorce. Her Ex reformatted her computer for her, several years ago. I have a USB floppy drive for when it's needed, but the various recovery software programs that I have won't recognize the drive as a valid storage device. Here's hoping!

Can not install in win 10, installed fine on my other computer with win 7 and works fine.
I guess win 10 is blocking something from the GAOTD when activating.

If you only want the problem comments to go to the forum page that is, to me, an indication that you don't want bad news posted. Being unable to install a "giveaway" is important to us users. The forum is the "dead letter" box that no one goes to unless he has serious interest and really wants the program to work. While the rest of us want working programs too, not being able to install is a big negative for the program. How is posting that to the forum going to tell the rest of us readers how to correct the problem.

I'm on 8.1 and also had problems with 3 giveaway's last week; I was unable to install them - I got the following setup error:

Also I have to say - for the last few days people have been complaining that the giveaways don't work on Win10... Really?!?!

"System Requirements: Windows 2000/ XP/ Server 2003/ Vista/ Server 2008/ 7/ 8"

I don't mind people being aggrieved if it should work on Win10 but when it clearly states in the system requirements that it's not Win10 compatible, it winds me up!
Lots of stuff isn't going to work on the new operating system yet because it was only released 7 days ago....
Give everyone a break and stop clogging the message board with these irrelevances.

Krypt.. Maybe there's a reason they didn't code it for Win10. I was using the preview version 10 on a surface pro 3 @ work (beta testing for the staff at my college to use in class). It seem to run every major software we through at it, even ones (CS6, Office 2013) that was out before 10 and this was without updates. However, One would think that anything that runs on the latest patched up Win7 would work on 10. If there is one little "flaw" in MS's coding that stops this, I don't blame the vender. I blame the OS. That's why I refuse to own/use/much less support apple products.

I have been unable to register this software. I followed the steps in the help section - ran a scan, chose some files that were recovered but the registration window did not appear. Eventually it did appear but it wouldn't let me paste the registration number in or even type it in. I have very very little patience with this sort of nonsense. Life is too short.

Same here (W8.1/64).

Reply   |   Comment by François  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+13)

Solved
You have to recover at least three files in three different sessions
at the fourth you get the registration window

It seems crazy to me!

Reply   |   Comment by emmecibi  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Still no joy. I tried recovering several files in several sessions. I get the registration box but it still won't allow me to paste or type in the registration number. It is not worth all the effort that I've expended on it so it's going in the bin. I'll look for something else. Thanks though to GOTD for the opportunity to try it.

@ Tom - thank you for pointing to this.

The "about us" with the address must be new. Never seen this before. I guessed the "Russian" due to the language settings.
Maybe my "a company without name and address" worked. Don't know...

@ D P Rangan
You can only uninstall DeepFreeze with the original installer exe. Set DeepFreez to thawed state, then run the original installer again. You cannot uninstall this program through the windows uninstaller or other uninstallers.

I don't reply often but I wanted to say that frequently I will click on the link just to read Karl's comments, even if I don't need the software. This is one I could probably use if it stands out from the many other recovery programs I have bought.

Installed and registered with problems on a Win 10 Pro 64 bit system. The GOTD installer didn't work on my system. This is the second time in two days. Anything changed with the wrapper? I downloaded the original installation file - this worked.

A Serbian company with address&phone.
We had had this software several time, the last time on February 1, 2015. Here are the old reviews:
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/easy-drive-data-recovery-3-0-2/

I just wanted to know, how this program behaves on Win10 Pro. Never tested it on this platform.
Some files changed:

Worked on Win10 like before. More details in the older comments.

Been having similar problems with installation in XP off and on for the last week or so where I keep getting the message that the setup file is corrupt.

Reply   |   Comment by XP-Man  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+31)

I have spotted a difference!
In your last review the company was Russian, now is Serbian?

I am having issues installing on Windows 10 64bit system as well both today and yesterday (Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1). When I run Setup.exe the GOTD activation window pops up and then opens a browser window as usual but then nothing. Install of the actual software never starts... I hope this is corrected soon as I'd hate to miss out on a piece of software I could actually use!

I really do appreciate your comments on the software offers on this website, Karl. I always scroll to your comments first! They are always insightful and to-the-point and written in exquisite English even though I know it's not your native language. I wish I was as fluent in German writing as you are in English. Nonetheless, you do your research.

Always encouraging us to first install new software in a "sandboxed" environment, I still find the connotation at the end of many of your reviews ("uninstalled via reboot") deceptive for the software developers who kindly offer us full version use their products, time limited or not. Why don't you simply state you don't need the software rather than saying you uninstalled the software like there was something wrong with it? I uninstall software that's defective, unneeded or has a poor user interface.

Just a heads-up for you to consider in light of the others here who may misinterpret your final evaluations.

Keep up the good work. For sure, you should have a website of your own for reviewing software. You're great at it!

The forums are where you give compliments to people and not here. Some just don't know how to read properly as this has already been discussed before. And I'm getting downvotes for pointing out an obvious problem from some, that can't remember where comments that aren't directly related to the developer's software belong. Ha!

Reply   |   Comment by Jim  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-45)

Sorry to be "over-inquisitve", but in the previous review you said it was a Russian company, now you say it is a Serbian one. They moved and the product is really a successor of the previous one, or a new one under the same name?
Thanks for your extremely valuable reviews.

Marek

I think the wrapper is the same, but the gotd daycheck/activation module uses some part of IE for connection. I don't have Windows 10 but on internet Microsoft states that windows 10 has 2 browsers on board, Edge and IE11. It is possible if people set up IE11, and set up its internet connections (Lan settings auto detect) the activation module can hook up through that connection?

Reply   |   Comment by Lowres  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Thank you for the reminders, Jim. Just who are you and what is your connexion with GOTD?

Reply   |   Comment by Vince  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Lowres raises an interesting point (for those having problems in W10).
The default browser is Edge
It is difficult to find (as are a lot of Settings in W10), but if you rummage around you will find where you can change the default browser.
That may fix the problems people are having, installing in W10
