This does offer different compression options (See 'Options') but the size of the estimated backup does not change as you change the option.

I've not tried to see what the actual difference is.

(By comparison, Paragon Drive Backup gets the initial backup size estimate about right, and changes this with compression chosen, but fails on backup size estimation on incremental backups)

#97, Stephen Cohen, I really used to like the features in GoBack, but it always had performance issues and always had to boot first to ensure that its drivers were loaded before Windows. RollBack Rx may have been a giveaway, and was just on BDJ. It functions similarly to GoBack, as do a few other utilities, and supports Win7. No utilities have all of the features that GoBack did, but they also don't have the history limits of GoBack. I've gone to near-continuous backup plus System Restore, which gives me greater coverage than GoBack (which also supported System Restore) with no performance impact, no MBR modification, no pre-Windows drivers, and no data corruption risks. I can get logs which have a portion of the information of GoBack logs from security software.

#98, BrainGel, sometimes I prefer third-party tools myself, which is why I use ShadowProtect Desktop rather than Win7's built-in backup (but it does have cool features, like Previous Versions). You do miss out on a lot of the features in newer versions of Windows, and if you tried Win7 with an SSD, you might not view them as bloat. Win7 with an SSD is the first time that I've felt like any version of Windows performed well. My RAID array is nice for recorded TV and backup-related performance, but all of the rest of the performance is due to my SSD.

EASEUS is solution provider in data security field. The functions of its products are for sure powerful and capable. But as to the setback, the software GUI is I have say too normal. Great Software Product = Great UE + Great Functions! And user experience is the primary impression left in the mind. So find more capable designers to do this. hah.

Back to topic, this Todo Backup tool is definitely fantastic. For genera users, I'll recommend home edition as it is completely freeware. I am right using it and the disk clone function is indeed easy to use and quite convenient to back the whole data up. :)

@Fubar,
It's clear I took it differently, but #80 is fair enough to me.
But "losing out" is not my feeling about it. I'm actually very happy to be able to install third party tools, prefering these over native Windows tools, because many times "decent" is just not enough. Third party does not mean third class.
All the Windows tools that I do not use feel to me as bloat. For me XP is less bloated. We might not share the same opinion, but then again we make our own choises.

To #80: Ah, Fubar, but users of XP can run GoBack. Vista and Win 7 users can't!

uninstalled due to wanting me to turn the computer off then on after installing. none of my other programs wanted me to do this after being installed.
also will run whenever you turn the computer on then wanted to add itself to the taskbar. i tell the computer what to run and when. the program does not have permission to run itself when it decides to. why put something on the taskbar when you have an icon on the desktop already.
