Dear valued users,
For anyone installing DVD Presenter on a Vista machine: you have to run the activation and setup program as administrator (right click on “activate” and click on “run as administrator,” then choose“run.”
There is a new version 4.0.1 of DVD Presenter. This new version improved the compatibility with Windows Vista.
And many other fixes.

Try it now: http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-dvd.html

Tried the forums for my problem, but they don't seem to be in working condition (what are the odds?)

Started up DVD Presenter and loaded up my .ppt file (all 38mb of it). Selected a spot on my HD (1.8gb free) and it didn't like that- not enough room it said. Ridiculous that it wanted more than 1.8gb to process a 38 megabyte file. Inserted a DVD and pointed to it as the output (left the temporary file in the default location) and it still refuses to run. Lovely.

First time I've come across software on GotD that I couldn't use.

I could'nt install as I do not have the product key. Activate.exe produced an error. So much for this sort of problems -- see comments 10, 15, 106, etc. Three instances of failure out of 108 suggests that the program is not worthy of a place on GOTD. Or is it?

Very nice programm. But it does not work. I cannot install it on my Windows XP pro PC, because it asks for e-mail and registration code..... It also does not work with OpenOffice.org, when saved as ppt-file then I get an I/O error 32.
On the site of Wonderware I can not find any info about that it will work with OpenOffice.org.
For help, please see my posting on the GOTD-forum.

When trying to install this on a computer running Vista, it installs & says it Successfully Activates, but asks for email & reg and says 15-days left in the title bar. Installing it on a computer with XP works though.

Interesting program.
Installed w/o problem on XP Home with MSOffice 2000.
Was able to preview and convert 81 slide PPT with effects - video quality was good after changing video quality level to HIGH. All simple effects in slides worked whether clickable or automatic.

Can create ISO file for burning.

Like the idea of creating DVD's for different countries. Have to try final quality with video and/or sound embedded in ppt.

Problems:
1. Program does not "see" my DVD burner whether there is DVD in or not. Able to create iso for burning with NERO.

2. When I request that the automatic slide advance takes 10 seconds, the output advances at 1 second (default). Changed advance to 8 seconds to see if it makes a difference. I am using WinDVD to view the Video_TS folder output before burning a disc.

3. I wonder if it is capable of emulating the ppt ability to change slides along with narration - each slide being of a different wait time. Have to try that out too.
