But that seems contrary to the whole purpose of GOTD -- either they are giving something away, or they are not, either they are building a market and surviving their competition, or they are not.

Free giveaway? Really? I think we were scammed by this company.

This was a waste of time to download and install this app.

The above comments pretty much describe the value and effectiveness of the program but nobody mentioned the apparent ethics (or lack thereof.)

Comment #14 (by "Doom") should be a total red flag. It is obviously a ringer comment posted by the app author. (Whom, I might add, is not too bright - posting a comment in the same bastardized English as is on his web site. Did he really think we wouldn't notivce???)

The second big red flag is all of the "Awards" on his home page. Most of them just says that the SW is virus free. On others, the SW doesn't exist, it gets a five star rating but no one has reviewed it, or, at best, a rating without any details of a five year old product.

I'm a bit didappointed in GAOTD for not vetting this app better.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to mention that I agree with #20 - Peter Blaise with the fact that this is NOT the same version as the one on their website. Apparently the same version 5.00 but if you try to install that one, you get a message that the key (key given with this giveaway) is good for an older version of this software. Care to explain 1-abc?

Even though the giveaway is almost over, it's NOT too late to give an answer! PLUS, we, GOTD, have a forum in order to post comments and/or answers. In this case, an explanation would be appreciated.

Thanks GOTD for all your hard work.

Just two things:
@ #5 Mark Magill: You can minimize virtualy ALL open windows, by pressing Windows Key + M. Repeat, and ALL windows re-emerge :)

I totaly agree with #30 @promytius about English in the company's site.
I had a hard time understanding several products's descriptions. Phrases like, "decide by your own if you prefer...", instead of "decide yourself if you prefere...", or simply, "you decide...", are too wrong, even for us, non native English speakers. What I 'm saying is, you are losing customers, not only because people don't trust "bad English" sites, but also because program descriptions are too dificult to understand...

First of all, I would like to thank GOTD for this offer. Secondly, I'd like to thank Peter Blaise (comment 20) for his thorough review! That takes time to type up all of that. I should know as I have done the same thing before only to have it NOT be accepted by the moderator here and on GGOTD, which kinda makes you mad after spending all of that time doing it!
Third, I'd like to thank Giovanni (comment 15) for his alternatives list!

As for duplicates, the one I always use is CloneMaster
http://softbytelabs.com/us/cm/index.html
Although I must admit I'm still using an old v2.19 on my XP SP3 system and haven't tried the latest version (5.05)... LOL
By the way, CloneMaster does a binary comparison of all files, to those who know what that means...

And lastly, I recommend to everybody here to go to
http://mail.yahoo.com
and sign up for a free Yahoo email to use here for these giveaways (and recommend using ONLY for these GOTD giveaways!). That's what I finally did after getting tired of 10minutemail.com, etc. being rejected by the giveaway authors frequently! It didn't take long at all and I don't remember having to give much, if any, personal info to get an email address. And so far it has been a 100% success rate here...

Long live GOTD and GGOTD!

@ #32 FooSaa, stop being a idiot. The meaning is to use the email address that you use for everyday activity and not a "throwaway" email address. It is not that difficult to understand. It is stated pretty clearly in the licensing agreement. Comments such as yours are not clever but make you petty and childish.

The developers that provide software for evaluation at GAOTD are doing this in hopes of getting a real paying customer (Good Luck with that here!) - and not to provide software to those who can't or won't pay for anything.

I am from the US and many here seem to be offended by companies who come here to test their software and English is not their native language. There way too many rude comments about these companies - just stop it and grow up.

GAOTD hopefully welcomes all no matter what language you speak.
