The program downloaded, installed and registered ok on Win7/64.

At the bottom of the screen, the software features a huge gallery of mostly famous faces that when you click on, you are shown a rough sketch of their facial features and what this indicates about their personality. In the same space, the interface allows you to chose from a number of facial features to do a composite picture which it also provides a reading on.

This is pretty interesting in itself, but what would be really interesting for me would be to import your own photos and get a character analysis on them. It is possible to import photos, but for some reason, when you transfer them over to the left hand side where the reading is done, the photo is placed beneath the current face already there. This provides a muddle of facial features which sometimes can't be read by the software. Also when you then click on one of the faces from the gallery, below, the result is a further muddled mess which the software can't recognise. It seems you have to turn off the program and open it again to clear the facial recognition part of the interface on the left. Unfortunately, the help file button wouldn't work for me. Only the tip of the day gives any help, but that seems mainly to focus on information about the science of physiognomy. It'd be a fun program if we could get a reading on imported photos and artwork by firstly removing the composite picture on the left hand side.

Interesting isn't it - loads of negative comments yet a relatively high thumbs-up percentage for such a horrid piece of software (yes, I did download it) And many of the critical feedback has been rated as not useful, whilst the positive comments are predominantly rated as useful.

If I were being suspicious I'd almost believe that someone with a vested interest was trying to skew the real feedback results here....

I like it! Installed & runs fine on xp sp 3. Works good! My memory kinda keeps me from entering faces right, from the parts, but it's fun to try, and is very like a police sketch maker.
I LOVE getting such different kinds of software! THANK YOU!

For those who always gripe about getting same old things on GOTD, THIS IS NOT the same old kinda thing! But u found something not to like, right? rofl@u! :)

Look people, let's use this comment section for what it's intended. Install the software & let everyone know your results, Did it install/uninstall properly? How is the interface? Easy or difficult to use? No one cares what your facial features tell us about you or how the program sucks because it doesn't interest you. Day after Day, I HATE sorting through all of the useless comments, It is a waste of my time. I want to know if it's worth downloading or did it cause system conflicts, have malware etc... Please do us a favor and not comment if you haven't installed and used it. Maybe someone can create a program to ban people who leave useless comments, that would be a great download for GAOTD to install on their computer!

This is why i put the "F" in ugly. damn it. i hate not being beautiful, now people think i am a bad guy. By the way, beauty is only skin deep, and when u get older, u get uglier..therefore you are more of a criminal cuz u age like a fine wine? In my opinion, this branch of science really sucks a big banana, cuz we evolved from monkeys.

Zelly:
For the curious, “Physiognomy” is an actual area of study. A lot of it is a mix of common sense & social norms: for example, people with sexy lips are more confident and outgoing that people with fat lips.

End Quote

For an interesting read, pick up Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. The guy was a plastic surgeon who noticed that sometimes surgery "worked" at changing the inner person and sometimes it didn't. He also noticed that some people could change their perception rather than their face and a personality change could take hold.

The comment about the lips reminded me of one part of the book where society's perception of a particular feature would cause one culture to shun a person with that feature, while a different culture might actually praise or reward a person having that same feature. Therefore, the feature itself wasn't the defining factor, but how that feature was viewed by the society and/or the person with that feature.

Fun software but wouldn't pay $20 for it. You might rack up some sales at the $5 price point...

Those who jeer at facial profiling should know it is a proven technique used by law enforcement wordwide, and is surprisingly accurate. Maybe too accurate for the jeerers (learn more than you wanted to admit did you?) A quote from YOUNG GUNS II: "Take your medicine boy.", or girl as the case may be.) There are only two beings that exists who know who you are, and what you are capable of:
1)The lesser learned of the two who actually knows not all, but suspects strongly is YOU.
2)The greater, omnioptent, infinitely learned being is GOD ALMIGHTY. He knows you better than you know youself.
Incidentally, you don't even need a profiling program to discover and research these profile possobilities ony you own, with no one else.
Before I get off my soapbox, I say that anyone with newly discovered (admitted) special abilities that is not using them for the betterment of our peoples should start right away with their tasks. You may be surprised what a difference one person can make.
General George Washington.....1 Man. John Adams.......1 Man. Thomas Jefferson......1 man. Or we could choose the dark side: Adolph Hitler.......1 (censored) (censored) (censored), and yet still 1 Man. Think about it my friends, one man, under the right circumstances, with the correct abilities, can most certainly have a resounding change on the world that very well could last forever. THE ONE (mortal) is still out there, and he will make the world a better place. Might it be you?
