More to the “floating point” error – had pound out that you do not have to go down to 96 DPI . The program can works with 107 DPI.

It is true that a free gift should not be blemished – take it or leave it but the discussion here is to help the ones that would like to use it and are not able to do so.

My criticism regarding this program is that it can convert TO many files types but only few FROM types. For example FLV and AVI which are quite common do not appeare in the FROM list.

I use the free SUPER convertor which can handle a long list of To and FROM.

@Rachel Thanks for the resolution to the 'floating point' error. I'm a bit concerned at the quality of software that doesn't take this into account though. Glad I'm not paying for it, but for free... well...meh. Anyone know how to get it to do a straight lossless DRM removal for video with this? My original video dimensions are not on any of the options for the output file.

The FIX IS to change screen rsolution to 96 DPI !

I almost forgot why I came back here: I have now experienced three STOP errors in the last 24 hours and had to go back to my last known good configuration in order to boot up. Since coincidence is a poor alternative, it seems that one of these last couple of programs that I installed from here may be causing the problem, so I will likely be deleting them, but thought you at GAOTD and its users ought to know.
