Hi all,

Haven't bothered to read all the comments, but have downloaded and installed this software with no problem on XP.

Biggest gripe I have is my OS is Thai based, so when the thing downloaded and set-up, there were many things in Thai, and annoying problem I have with many programs, unless it's a program that is well thought out and offers only an "ENGLISH" version, over-stepping the person's OS who is downloading the software.

Would be nice software if they offered this option. I've scoured through everything on the program and see nothing to change this glitch. My "Month" appears at the top of the screen as gobbledygoop, so I'll be uninstalling this software very, very soon.

I have noticed a trend over the years on this site, weekends seem to bring out the children who don't bother to download and comment negatively simply because it doesn't do what they want ion their tiny small limited worlds.

As I and a few others have said if you bothered or even can read, there are a lot of people engaged in business around the world who would find having this on their desk top very useful and MORE convenient than I-Google, me for one.

I resent your arrogance in suggesting I am of no value and I am not important for using it. AND there are a lot of countries in the world that CAN NOT get I-GOOGLE. News Flash, the world dos not end outside of North America, in fact, this is where it begins.

If you try it and find a problem or have suggestion re the software, comment, but if it just isn't what you want, go back to your porn movie or cartoon and wait for another ripper to be offered.
Or use the "Forum" to have your brief 15 minutes of fame.

To #4 Juila, you are missing a basic point of TIME, CITIES don't exist on their own, they do so in a time zone, so if the small village your friend lives in isn't on the list, then the nearest city in the same time zone will be, there are over 32 cities listed, [I think] which covers most of the globe, I know, I tried it.
Think about it, how many small cities, villages, hamlets and back out of the way little places are there in the world?
Do you really need a list of 1000, plus "Places?"

One more addition to my wish list, a way to adjust the transparency so it runs even more in the background.

Sorry for the rant, I will start with a negative vote of my own, but I am tired of having an orchestrated series of negative comments that obviously haven't even bothered to try it or read the HELP files...

During the past year I've tried 6 or 7 freeware options and I didn't like nor keep any of them. For me this is an easy to use and convenient program that I'll use every day. From a quick glance at the map or from the balloon pop up I can get the information I need at that moment. (Right click on the map for 'Settings'). Also, positioning the cursor over any part of the world map shows the time for that specific area. The world map image is best viewed at the largest setting.

Suggestions:

1) On my older CRT monitor the world map image is too dark so it's difficult to see some of the continent outlines, even with night/day shading turned off. I would assume that there are a percentage of users with the same problem so a lighter or brighter map or a way to adjust the brightness/contrast would make the world map image better in my opinion.

2) Showing Country borders where possible would make the map more interesting and easier to find specific locations with the mouse cursor, also making it somewhat of a geographical learning tool. Adding a zoom feature to that in order to show smaller country borders would add some fascination.

As is, it is a very convenient and useful software. Thank you GAOTD and Crave Worldwide
