My license just expired. Dunno if I did something wrong back on registration day - but I now get a 'Trial period exceeded' message (or some such).

Good thing I installed EditngLab a few days ago :-)

Keep up the good work!

Hi,

I've used the program a few times, and easy to edit detailed blank spaces(no-sound)in the audio. The program could use a bigger slide-bar or a hand to move the wave form back and forth with. The program uses alot of hard-drive space while editing too I noticed on a small file. When scrolling in or out it very sensitive but blocky like 10 clicks for an example: should be more like 25 clicks up and/or down. Add the option to (auto-save) after 10 mins(set=time) of work. The Real-Time editing is Great to use! I was able to start using the moment i installed.

The layout is warming with easy-to-use formating.
Haven't seen better yet to date.
Keep up the good Work!

After a couple of days using, I am not at all impressed with this software. My perspective is only from that of recording LPs. First, there is no monitor to listen to the recording on the PC to see if for the past hour has been spent listening to the third track on a record, over and over. Additionally, the processing tools aren't suited to the "cracks" and "hiss" over an album. But for free, what do you expect?

Have a question, installed CREP and have recorded a couple of streams, works well, like the easy to use interface. What I would like to do, is split it up into tracks, and make a cd out of it (I have recorded a couple of live recordings, so it comes thru as 1 huge file). Any suggestions on where to start there? I suppose I could do it manually, and create a file for each song, or insert something into the recording to indicate end of song? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, thanks GAOTD!

I had problems with a couple of the COM server DLL's that had to be registered during the instalation process caused regsvr32 to crash and had to be skipped under vista... no idea why.

One thing I find missing in all the recording programs targeted at vinyl conversion into mp3 is the combination of the sub-bass down to sub-sonic frequencies to cancel out the 1 to 15 Hz anti-phase warp signal that high quality cartridge and pre-amplifier combos pass on to be amplified.
I guess what it needs is the same process that is used to convert a 2 channel stereo signal into a 2.1 but with the .1 sub woofer signal being remixed back into the 2 main channels which would quieten a fair portion of the rumble and warp signals better than a simple low cut rumble filter because it would not wreck the wanted bass/sub-bass sounds.

I have downloaded and installed this program without any problems (the 2nd time!) I haven't had a chance to use it but I intend to use it to copy cassetes and lps to cd.

First comment: the guide seems fairly clear and comprehensive, the best I have seen for a long time

Second comment: It would have been nice to have the author present on the posting board giving us his comments and responding to feedback and 'real' problems. Especially as it seems at first sight like a really nice little program at a sensible price.

Again thank you GAOTD

#79 ~ Robert ~

Though a little late, I think you got to be corrected (partly for your *slightly* overdone self-confidence ;)).

Your suggestion #59 to just uncheck the "purchase" item has FAILED at least with me, after restart the "register" button still was there. I might not be the only one failing, do I !?

But THIS solution does the trick: Main Toolbar > right-click > More commands... > Commands > click on File - Register > mark Register (so it shows a dark grey frame - in the toolbar!) > right-click on that frame (so the frame turns black) > DELETE

Installed, registered, used but got a lot of errors, invalid time, division by 0.
It's a C.R.A.P., uninstalled, thumb down.

@ #9, #100 - I could not find any msvcr70.dll in system32 before installing. There was an msvcr71.dll though. Setup installed the msvcr70.dll in my case.
