“Not for commercial use” means “not for use by you to make money”, as in your business. Pretty much all software that is available only for purchase (like GOTD products on days other then their giveaway day) is “not for re-sale”. Generally speaking, a software developer would be willing to give away his program only for home use; if you are going to make money with his program, he should, too. Clearly, in this case, given the nature of the program (i.e., business-project management), a non-commercial-use-only license would not give most people interested in the program much value.

Wow! Thanks for this title! I have been working on a project that is branching into several related projects. I have been assigned the coordinator for all of them, so this is going to come in really handy. I am fairly new to this arena and am not familiar with other PM tools so I cannot compare them. I have been playing with this for only a few minutes and I already see the value of it. I will venture to rate it a 7. Thanks to CS Odessa and GAOTD!

Mine asked for a serial number also when I first launched it. I was flustered. I have over 90 GAOTD programs and I read the readme file so I know I activated it correctly. After I opened it later on in the day the second time, it did open without asking for a serial number so I will assume it’s going to work when I have time to check it out.

This is seriously useful software from a good company. I do a lot of not-for-profit work (some deliberately), and this will help a lot.

Works fine in Vista, by the way. It took me a couple of hours today to discover that it’s significantly superior to MS Project.

This is a cool software, it’s similar to TurboProject and Microsoft Project, but it is easier to use and it has a cleaner interface. However, for smaller projects I prefer Goal Enforcer http://www.goalenforcer.com

Could it be that all those asking for a serial realy don’t understand that they have to execute Activate.exe (during the required 24 hour period) preferably whilst the days offering is NOT executing and for good measure in Vista, to use the right-click menu option “run as administrator” to ensure it has write access to the registry parts it needs to activate the days offering.

Or they want the serial number itself to defeat the GAOT_D_ Day restriction for further re-instalaton use.

Activates fine here under Vista Home Premium, and with the generous relaxing of the no commercial usage by CS Odessa I plan to try incorporating it into my daily work.
