Hi Folks,

Interesting, I put in three posts about the two types of uninstallers (those that do a snapshot and those that are only post-facto uninstalls) thanks for Revo and how it seems to be a good program and being careful with the registry and some stuff about the search for the best uninstaller ... all apparently removed.

Is there any reason to post ?

If a tree falls in the forest ...

Shalom,

#148, Pamela, to get rid of most context menu entries, use Microsoft Autoruns (free download). Click on the Explorer tab, scroll down to the key ending with ...\Shell Extensions\Approved and examine the non-Microsoft entries. Uncheck the ones you don't want, restart Windows. If you make a mistake, re-check the entry, restart.

Number 148, -> I really need a program that can find and remove files from programs that were previously installed Registry -> Tools -> Registry Finder, and type in what you wish to totally remove all the entries. But 1st. check installed programs, nothing better and safer, never in 5 years has it made a mistake....

Thanks for all the valuable feedback - the best part of GOTD.

Program activated & installed without a glitch, but had some problems uninstalling some programs. Always read BladedThoth's wise reviews!

#138 - I had versions 1.0,1.1, and 2 of Net framework. It uninstalled all versions except for 2 (which is what I thought it was supposed to do) and it seems fine. So far. But I wish I had read your comment first.

I've been using CCleaner for years. It's a brilliant program, and works like a charm. Can some knowledgeable person really say what the major difference is with regards to the uninstall functions? Unless this program does something CCleaner just can't, I'd rather just stick with the pro.

I didn't see that this is a 2-week trial. Is this true? If so, there's really not much point in even pondering.

One last question - I really need a program that can find and remove files from programs that were previously installed. Ones that no longer appear on Add/Remove programs, or in any of the obvious places, but rear their ugly heads regardless (i.e. in context menus, etc.). Anyone know of a really decent one?

No matter what, I'm always really grateful to be handed programs, even to try out and test, so thanks GOTD, and thanks GOTD folks!

Have a great weekend.

I ended up uninstalling this program because I had no idea what I was doing. For the person that recommended ZSoft...I downloaded it, ran it. It listed a "dead link" for RealTek so I got rid of it. I lost my sound after doing that. I had to go to my computer maker's homepage and reinstall the driver. ZSoft is out too.

THIS SOFTWARE FAILED TO UNINSTALL THE FIRST TWO PROGRAMS I SELECTED...["GET DATA BACK FOR NTFS" AND 'GET DATA BACK FOR FAT" BY RUNTIME SOFTWARE].

THIS WAS AFTER CLEANSE UNINSTALLER WENT THRU EACH OF ITS THREE REMOVAL STEPS SUCCESSFULLY...WITHOUT ERROE MESSAGE OR OTHER ALERT.

I WAS ABLE TO CLICK ON THE "UNINSTALLED PRIGRAM" PROGRAM ICON AND EXECUTE IT FULLY.......

SO THIS SOFTWARE, IN MY OPINION STINKS, AND I AM GLAD I DID NOT LAY FOR IT!
