This was a goody. Just what I needed. My machine was taking (gulp!!) 3 to 4 minutes to power up and 2 to power down. I knew the problem was the registry--I had installed and uninstalled a butt load of stuff--but I was reluctant to fool with it.
I used the Registry Supervisor, found a couple hundred problems, fixed them all.
Bingo--it boots in a minute, and shuts down in about 30 seconds!!
Thanks, guys.

This is a great program. Going to the "auto complete passwords" in the advanced history supervisor was a real eye-opener. every password i ever used for the last 3 years was there. thanks gotd!

I'll back up Matt on the fact that it screwed up my computer and I had to scramble around on my old computer to read the screens so I could fix my good one. I am not the least bit impressed with this and in my honest opinion it should be thrown in the garbage.

This is a hopeless software that changes the setting of the PC and removes many essential files and the restore function of the so called Advanced registry Supervisor does not work.

It is advisable to test such softwares thoroughly before being offered for download.

I love this...Thanks I have used a paid program for several years Registry Mechanic and this one found 207 problems that my paid one missed. I ran the GOTD software right after Resgistry Mechanic and was surprised to see the things the other missed. Thanks alot!

Sorry, but I'm saging the hell out of this `product`.

I'll stick to CCleaner, which is free, works well, can be given to others for free at any time until the author decides he'll go shareware with it (which ain't likely) and doesn't have such a presumptuous name.

CCleaner does what its name says it does:
Cleans Crap.

Now, if this also offered a powerful undelete function, as well as a powerful "sage this file to HELL and make sure it never comes back" function (Hard drive 'bleach' or 'hydrochloric acid', perhaps?), then it'd be useful at the price.
(hint: ccleaner offers the stronger delete function that I like. for free.)

In China there is a software called Super Rabbit(超级兔子),which has all the tools above.
The Rabbit can do many more things(maybe more than Advanced Windows Care Professional),such as task management, adware cleaning,IE protection, system backup, file encryption, virtual desktop, desktop search, and more.
And it's free(NO adware/spyware),everyone can use it.
But now it has only Chinese interface, there is only some old Engish edition. If you have learned some Chinese, you can just try it.
Or you can help the developer make it international. They will be glad.

i think ccleaner and easycleaner offers better overall performance and both are free. easycleaner all you have to do is make it exclude windows and it cleans ALL the excess files including duplicates without harming your pc.

MEMO TO ARTIMESIA if he is looking:
I THOUGHT THESE WERE TRIALS TOO. YOU HAVE TO ACTIVATE FIRST AND THEN IT IS NOT A TRIAL. WISH I COULD COMMENT DIRECTLY TO HIM!

Yes I like Advanced Windows Care better as well. Have not tried this one but am judging from others comments.

GOTD thanks anyway. Not everything is going to fit everyone!

I read the comments on here and decided to download Advanced Windowscare V2 Personal. After trying it out I was quite pleased with it's performance and would highly recommend it.

I appreciate the free programs offered on this site, even though most of the offerings are second and third rate software. I am not trying to put this site down, I am only being honest.

CCleaner is good...used it every day for over a year now...ZERO problems. Can´t see the need for €30+ software which does more-or-less the same.

Then I googled "don't believe google" and I got 39,700,000 hits. I think we are onto something here. :P

This application is completely useless, and dangerous to less advanced users. There are MANY freeware and open source programs that are far more developed and safer to use. Never ceases to amaze what people will spew forth to make money.

back up the registry before installing this.

#60 BillW50, not surprised at 69,000 hits on searching "CCleaner messed up". But whether it's CCleaner, today's GOTD offer or any similar program, it's usually the end user who "messed up" and not the program.

Same deal as those who can't figure out how to activate, users blindly plunging ahead without reading directions first. Then they blame the program, the site, their computer, Bill Gates, the weather, the alignment of planets, God, etc., etc., etc. ;)

Just downloaded and previewed this software. Appears to be a very good package for PC Maintenance. I to use CCleaner, Disk Cleaner, System Mechanic, etc. etc. All of these are good software for what they do. System Mechanic isn't free but is good if you want to spend some money. Computer-Expert Supervisor has more options than CCleaner or Disk Cleaner and gives you more control over what you actually are cleaning/deleting by letting you see the files and selecting all or only certain files. Just read the help files etc. and be careful and know what your deleting before clicking clear. Don't expect to just click one button and everything will be cleaned.

Thanks for what seems like a useful software once again.
Why do people insist on putting it down and saying this and that freeware does the same thing?
Of course there will ALWAYS be a freeware that does the same thing! You think there is ANY unique shareware left on the planet? I think not!!
To people saying this screws up your PC and your fonts etc etc...no it doesn't.
The user who just installs and runs a program (one that is designed to REMOVE FILES) without knowing what they are dealing with, is what screws a PC or ssome fonts up!
Sorry but its true!!
So anyone who wants to remove rubbish fikles from their PC and tries this program out, make sure you do a back up FIRST and then you will be fine.

Thanks again GOTD. Only one hiccup - The Advanced History didn't find any Firefox cookies and it couldn't delete any of the 100's of Internet Explorer cookies. Wouldn't surprise me it that's something caused by IE itself! Still, the registry cleaner worked quite nicely. I did of course do a back up first...

It does puzzle me why so many comment on costs, how they can't register, how they've only a trial version and so on ... every day. OK, so I may decide not to use every program after trying it, but every one I have installed has activated just fine for me. Then again I learnt it's VITAL to make sure I unzip everything, read the various 'Read me's and click on any 'Activate' files, before trying to use that day's software. Perhaps that procedure would help some others here?

GUI is confusing and only gives details of funtion on mouse over.

However, if you don't have a good cleaner, then go for it.

Ok, I have used all 3 portions of the program, The registry program is a pain as you need to carefully check each of the listings and make sure it didn't pull up something you don't want deleted. Yup, that means check each box by hand. (Safety)

Start up manager is like all others nothing bad or special here.

History is awsome, lets you see all!!!!

Great Job GOTD Team : )

The question is , with the registry ultility does it really can fix and optimize your registry or it just delete the "problem" registry key like most other programs ? And this will , as far as im concerned , lead to other crashes in your computer due to lack of important registry keys.
The only software i've known so far can REALLY repair the registry is Registry First Aid. Pitty my lincense is expired now :(
