After I installed CCfile transfer and read some of the other posting I checked my virus proctection. Panda Titanium and Firewall 2007 which I have been using for a long time and have never had a virus or any kind of spyware or trojan. After checking I discovered that my firewall had been disabled and "check for unknow threats" had also been disabled. As I had just checked it earler in the day and had not installed any other programs I must assume that this program was the problem.

#41 Southie, and #13 NeedHelp,
I don't detect any outbound or inbound connection from or to this program.
Also, the download.com comment is unclear in that whether it is "admin" for CC-file-transfer or the computer. If it is just for the file you're sharing, (according to the software's descriptions and GUI) it just means it has the right to upload a file to you or remove one or more of your files from sharing(not delete from your file system). It is really not a problem since this piece of software transfers via HTTP not HTTPS, which means you don't care about the security of the file if you use it. Someone here also said there's no description about encryption... what are you thinking? How could you achieve encryption via HTTP without both side having special software installed?

Thank you Anonymous comment #30, I tried your suggestion but it didn't work, also Biggest_Baddest_Wolf comment #33, again I tried most of your idea's, but again the same message. No problems though as I can always use one of the freeware alternatives. I'll continue to search for the problem as it is clear that there is something wrong with my PC, as Sulmonster so succinctly put it. Thank you for telling me what was so obvious, lol
