Business cards software profitable business check tie software that, because of the data saving feature, can be extracted for future reference points as well as other applicable projects. A unique program, cool but tricky install.

Since the simple thumbs down dialog box fails to have an active send button, I'll paste and expand on my "reason for not liking this app " :lack of form types (templates) , WAY too S L O W ....My new dual core w/2GB ram and Vista locks up , cpu load in upper limits and ram 65% used... I wasted a whole night trying to whip out a few cards for my friend before she left town. I should have been in and out by 7pm, NOT 2AM. The fact that it has NO option for measurements other than metric really blows. My AVERY Bus.Card forms DON'T measure out exactly at 19mm Lf Margin and 13.5mm top margin! And it's left to the user to figure out this lil anomaly... You guys might want to think about alienating much of the U.S. buyers with that little piece of narrow mindedness. This app is beta at best. Better freeware is out there. It's too bad because at first I thought it was A+ and very user friendly but after trying to use it like a "Serious" app. of it's kind I have to say this is Child-Ware at best.

Hi Folks,

This looks like a fine choice, good business-card software is a little tricky, each program has pluses and minuses, good freeware is rare and the programs don't need frequent update and there is plenty of use for home cards. Despite a grumble above, you can custom-tailor many low-volume cards for specific purposes and work with various pics and use different card-stock and have tons more flexibility than any professional deal. There is a place for both.

Now, I did not load the update.exe .. not realizing that this was a replacement program rather than a ptf. Should I do it now after the deadline, or will it be unregistered. Also is it important ?

Thanks for assistance.

Shalom,
Steven Avery

Gahhh! I hate it when cool looking apps are published on the weekends and I don't get a chance to check 'em! This one is pretty good. I have d/led the trial version and been playing around with it. I will hope for a rerun one of these days.

The print option now works fine, thanks #42 Krzysztof for the patch!

This program is better than some of the business card programs I have used but uses a lot of system resources, the print and print preview are very slow.

To the complainers, and there are always some, this site gives away programs for "One Day." That's it, and that is the idea of the site.
Don't expect to like or need every single program, just use the ones you like, delete the rest, and stop complaining.

The site makes it very clear how long you have to download and register the software, heck they even give you a countdown.

I have received some excellent software, completely free. Some I didn't like. I am sure there are some that others don't like. Instead of complaining just be glad you can look every day and maybe once in a while get a free gift.

Thank you for all the hard work.

I really like this: Makes me want to do some cards--I don't have a business, but it makes it nice if you're networking to have a card. Thanks for the help update (see link on comment #41). There is a bit of a learning curve. It's a very nice program though!

One thing I noticed is you can open more than one instance by double clicking the file. Probably should fix it so when you double-click the file, it (after asking if you want to save the changes to the previous file) opens it in the same program. Reason being is if you have more than one instance open, the database doesn't work. Also note that there is no mouse-over "tag" help for the "align" button.

Another issue I think is important is regarding the City and Street field. Usually in the US there is an Address (for street address), an Address2 or secondary address field (for longer addresses that contain office #, Suite # or post office box), then the City/State/Zip (as a single field). I'm sure this is just a difference between European and US addresses, but I thought you might want to know in case you want to change some of the field names in the English version or make a US English version.

For the users: One problem I finally figured out was how to add or change a text object to a field in the database. To do this you need to either add a new text object by clicking on text and then click on the card. Or copy another field. With the new field selected, go to the objects tab. Check the "Data from" box and then select the proper field from the database from the drop-down next to it. (Have no idea what the button "point out" next to it does.)
