I'm happy with this program, it installed well, like someone else mentioned, I mainly want this to keep track of physical books, to see which ones I would still like, and for information on authors and series. Thank you GOTD and Booknizer.

TO PUBLISHER:

Looks very nice.

My reservation is what will happen if you for some unforeseen reason can no longer support it? Will the data be available in a format that can be read, edited, and appended later, as in a database or spreadsheet?

I will download and install it for now, but I will not enter data until I know if the data will be available through another program. Since I have not downloaded it yet, I am curious if I will be able to see the data on my iPhone. Is there a means to do this?

Thank you for the offer.

Best regards,
Jeff

Installed well on windows 7. Tried it by putting 1 book in it. I typed the title in, since there was no ISBN in 1932. It found the book and filled in all the other info, author, publisher, year, pages, and had places I could fill in extra info for my personal use.
So far I really like this program. Thank you GAOTD and Booknizer!

To those saying Calibre is only for e-books, not so.
You can create a new "empty" book. No file needed on your computer for this. Now you put in your data and download the meta data etc... as usual. No problem at all. (and no extra work to do it, no tweaking etc.. is needed.)
Calibre is good for:
e-books
Print books
Audio books
anything really, you can put into calibre.

How it compares to todays program?
Mostly depends on cost, which program is most similar to something you have already used, and whether you want a program that works as a file manager/organizer for your digital books.

Installed & Activated Quickly and easily on Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Laptop Intel Core i-5.
I Only have time for a fast look right now, but I launched the program from Setup and it is properly registerd, also it scanned my computer in less than one minute and found my Kindle Collection with no problem... It LOOKS like that is all it searched for as it does NOT seemed to find any of my other "ebooks", however, I'll have to check that out after I retur (tomorrow morning.

NOTE: As ALWAYS, (when there is an "Activate.exe" file) I "executed" (ran) the "Activate.exe" file) BEFORE Running Setup.exe. This writes the appropriate Registration Information to the Registry ( In ALL of my experience!!!).
Happy Trails,
Chris Roy Jackson

One other solid point. A real forum. The first question was one I had in mind, where is the database kept. Properly answered.

Hi,

Nice looking program. The web site looks professional, with Ruski programmers in the Vancouver area.

If the program does the job nicely, you don't worry that eventually you may .. possibly .. put out $40 or so for a full permanent license.

Thanks to Maniac Tools + GOTD.
Good stuff.
Easy to use.
Visual book cover does help user to identify it easily in his collection.
Searches for covers for the Audio books in my PC. If it is an audio book, the chapters are automatically listed for you to click on and listen to.

However, the search by ISBN code is not always successful. If it is a foreign language book, somehow the ISBN search fails.

Have not bothered to input any hardcopy book titles into the database.

One could create a database for books in Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel or FileMaker or Alpha Five.

A Nightmare! (Maybe not so much but bad enough)
Authors tab gets stuck on "pictures" only way to go back is to restart the program.
Tried to reload a book info, the book disappeared, same if you look up a book from the authors page.
AVOID!

Installed and activated no problem. Failed to import existing database from All My Books. Booknizer is supposed to prompt by default existing database from All My Books. It did not do this and I tried to open the database from All My Books directly using Booknizer, that also failed.

On to Booknizer itself. I like the interface better than current cataloging program All My Books. It did a seamless import of books by title.

I would switch to Boooknizer if I could get it to import my existing All My Books database. But since it does not do that I don't want to reenter my entire collection by hand. So I uninstalled it. I would however recommend this program over All My Books.
