Can I suggest that for future screensaver and wallpaper giveaways that there should be direct links to sample screengrabs? That way people can see what they are getting before installing, without having to work their way through the company's website.

Thanks S&W, but your screensaver/wallpaper won't work with my graphics card; it is an issue with the wallpaper. Since the screensaver won't install and run without the wallpaper attached, I can't run it, wish I could, it looks nice.

To GOTD, I hope that we will get a screensaver from Astro Gemini for Halloween, my computer will run them. Thanks to Tina and John for their links and to XP Man and Mike for information about screensavers that I didn't know. I don't use screensavers as screen savers so those issues won't worry me; I enjoy watching screensavers as a relaxation.

Nicely done even if the horse is out of scale. I had to uninstall because on my PC it was taking 644 MB of memory, and and I only have 2GB. No way can I use over a quarter of my RAM for something I only see when I close down any open windows. CPU usage was surprisingly low, I didn't check GPU temperatures...

No luck, after installing it, when it run, my computer freeze up.
Im not sure whether my graphic card support it or not, I'm using 9500GT.
So I'll skip this one.

This screen saver and animated wallpaper were easy to install and fully support 2 monitors. While I'll probably leave the screen saver installed for a fall the animated wall paper will have to go. Just to busy for me.

Unlike a lot of people I LOVE screensavers and have a huge collection, thanks giveaway for another pretty one - visitors to my study always comment on the ever changing screen (usually it goes something like 'WOW what's that?) windows 7 home premium works perfectly

For those who would like to know, this GOTD's version # is 1.00.

@5 Mike,
I agree with you, the only "screensaver" I use is the "Blank" screensaver that comes with Windows. Doesn't seem to use any resources, doesn't cause any stress on any hardware, but still protects your screen if it will be left on for long periods of time...

So, as nice as today's giveaway is, I will be uninstalling it and reverting back to my blank screensaver...

P.S. I also agree with #3 (Paul): What is the deal with the huge woodpecker (that never pecks BTW)? LOL

Very nicely done, easy installation, excellent graphics, but a little too "cute" for my tastes -- my daughters would have loved this when they were younger.

There's nothing wrong with these sorts of screensavers or animated wallpapers if you like that sort of thing. The graphics won't match the latest, greatest games, but that's understandable as they don't require the same sorts of [usually higher end] graphics hardware either.

I don't run them because they do use the graphics hardware enough to turn a decent graphics card into a space heater, at the same time increasing their power usage. To me it's the same sort of thing as turning the light(s) out when you leave a room, setting the thermostat to 68-70 in the winter, using a car with higher mpg. When I'm not using this PC I'd rather it use the least energy possible.

"GPU-Z is a lightweight system utility designed to provide vital information about your video card and graphics processor. "

Both free.

Modern supposed screensavers tend to have static backgrounds of quite intense colouring, static is the last thing you want in a screensaver. This can cause the equivalent of "burn in" in an LCD screen something I was unaware of until I researched it after the last screensaver.
An excellent example of this is shown in the following link:-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_burn-in
Adjacent to the heading "Plasma, LCD and OLED displays," which is part way down the page, there is an excellent image illustrating this phenomenon.

My point being, maybe it is worth changing your screensaver on a regular basis so it doesn't damage it.:-)

It's Nice. Better than desktop animations, which has been given away here a few times. The movement of the animals is more realistic only the horse is too small in relation to the woodpecker.
I'm not sure why my desktop icons get shifted slightly to the left, hiding half of the icon on the far left of my screen. Because of that I have uninstalled it.

Hey Guys!

Even though I don't mind screensavers, I prefer to get graphics like the ones I see them using to make the screensavers so I can make my own artwork as a graphics designer.

Guess What??

I went to their main website at SmithWelcomeInc and they got an awesome website linked on their Homepage called 3D Graphics Central. Their URL is http://www.3dgraphicscentral.com

They make some really cool 3D Animated 3D graphics over there and they’re in Animated GIF and transparent flash (SWF) format. You would not believe the quality! I still can’t believe some of these things are Animated GIFs and .SWF files!!! They’re more like 3D objects or something. I got the horse, the deer and the butterflies in this screensaver from 3dgraphicscentral.com

They got tons of graphics with YouTube videos, screenshots and FREE samples too. Check this out:

http://www.3dgraphicscentral.com/free/freeset1.zip

http://www.3dgraphicscentral.com/free/freeset2.zip

However, if you want hundreds of the best they have you gotta buy them.

I went directly to their products page with all their graphics collections. I love the toon character packs, the objects, the sealife and the animal packs. You get a lot too in the purchase files. I bought 3 packs today and now I am loading up on my computer and using the Animated GIFs on my Tablets, and I’m gonna use some in my websites and games. I wanna go back for more!

Go here and see http://www.3dgraphicscentral.com/products/our-products

Great products smithwelcomeInc and a big thanks to 3D Graphics Central!

Come on guys you gotta visit!

See ya!

Tina
